Upgrading to a 2013 EPAS on my 2008 GT.

Got the rack from a salvage yard, cleaned and painted it. New inner and outer tie rods going on.

The Motorcraft inner tie rods came with the blue plastic limiters (for the larger rims, vs grey for the smaller wheels).

Do I have them oriented correctly in these pictures? And they just sit in there loose, and the tie rod joint just slams against them when you lock out the steering?

That does not look like any rack limiter that I have ever seen. Then again, I've never disassembled an EPAS rack.

Close out, in case anyone else ever wonders . . . @mattjames was correct . . . the limiters need flipped opposite how I have them, so that they "cup" around the ball joint of the inner tie rod.

EPAS converted here, and I'm not running any limiters and have no rubbing issues with 19x10 wheels and 285's on the front. (or the 275's on 18s, or the stock 17" wheels)
