Diablosport is better for canned tunes.
SCT x4 is pretty much it when it comes to custom tuning. (HP Tuners if you want to tune yourself)
What are you trying to do?

What engine do you have? If you have a stock 4.6, I’d say the exhaust flows pretty well and they seem to respond well to CAI. However, both I & E makes noticeable differences.

If you have a stock 5.0, from what I’ve been told the CAI is a waste of money and almost any aftermarket exhaust you put on it will make it unbearably loud and obnoxious.

Now if you plan to highly modify either one, you will need both I & E eventually.

I don't know how other tuners work but I bought the Diablosport inTune a couple of years ago and it seems to work okay. With no experience with other tuners I find the inTune takes forever to load tunes(like 10 minutes). I don't know if this is normal or not. And when doing the testing, my tuner runs out of memory when doing a step test and doing the 1:1 gear high speed run. The data it does collect takes as long as 40 minutes afterthought test to compete the file. As I said I have no other frame of reference for other tuners but if i were to buy another tuner I would probably lean towards a different brand.

The flash itself does not take longer. But the inTune is very slow to start up (boot up) and there is a definite delay from when you tap, and when the unit responds.

I specialize in s197 tuning and swear by HPTuners. Working with SCT was always such a pain so I moved on. Also canned tunes are such a joke. Total waste of money. Doing a halfass job tuning yourself will get you better results.

Respectfully disagree.
I am running Diablo canned tunes on two, bone stock vehices.
My van, which I tow my car trailer with, tows better and gets slightly better MPG with the canned tune. .5 mpg adds up on 200+ mile long trips.
The other daily, I just needed to fix the speedo due to a gear change. So why not run the canned tune, much better than stock. No gain im MPG on that one though. But I have not invested any effort into fine tuning fuel and timing.

Oh man definitely not speaking about stock vehicles but I’m glad you’re happy with your purchase and honestly that is the ideal situation for canned tunes.

I gotta say I got an sct x4 tuner and it works good but caned tunes are rubbish I found this out by just adding a CAI and the tune screwed up the drivability of my 06 GT. I complained but all you get is crickets, from both SCT and dealer where I bought it, also the CAI manufacturer. Finally got it sorted out with a proper tune. Caned tunes are a waste of time and a major con. Im also confused as to how a standard car would perform better and or better fuel consumption, as the tune only allows change of spark, gear shift points wheel sizes and mixture... so lean the mixture = dumb. Richen the mixture a small gain in performance but no better economy.

Meh, SCT is just as flakey in its own way. I have run into a few glitches, even with the Advantage III software.

I don't think that Lund does tunes for the 4.0 though.

I have an SCT X4 tuner & tunes for my '08 Bullitt. The engine is completely stock and the SCT tunes, to my surprise, work exceedingly well. I was going to buy a STEEDA tune, as they are my favorite and I've had great success w/their canned tunes previously, but upon discussion w/them, was told that since I planned no further power mods, the SCT tune was a solid tune and to purchase a STEEDA tune would be waste of money. As always, I appreciated their honesty and have been pleased w/the SCT tune performance.
