I was told that I have to take it back to the dealer and get the ECM reflashed any information would be helpful thank you

Have you done the driving cycle in the manual?

does it have cats?

if the rear O2s don’t show ready there’s a cascade effect and 3 will show not ready.

I agree... Before you go through the trouble and expense of reflashing a PCM... Disconnect the battery... Turn on the ignition, and step on the brakes, to kill any residual power left in the capacitors... Then reconnect the battery and go for a good drive... Like 30-45 minutes... There is a specific sequence / list of tasks to set all the OBD monitors (link below) ... But doing some dense City stop and go driving, and some open road, but still urban, and then some highway (no traffic) driving usually does the trick.

If you go for a reflash....
A dealership may not be able to help you... Unless they are a Roush dealer.

You cannot have a regular Ford dealer flash it back to factory stock... It won't run at all.

If you have a Supercharged Roush Stage 2, you may have to get a hold of Roush HQ for a PCM reflash specific to the mods on your vehicle. They may require you to send the PCM to them for a bench flash... I'm not sure they have a handheld tuner flash option.

Look up the procedure to activate the monitors for the Mustang. Follow it EXACTLY. IIRC, one of the requirements Is a drive of 3-5 miles at 60 mph. Or close to that. Traffic on the highways around me moves at 80-85 mph even when heavy. After a couple of failed attempts to activate mine at those higher speeds. I went out and did the 60 mph run. Even the truckers were pissed at me for going so slow. But it worked. The monitors came on and I passed emissions.

Roush stage 2 consists of roush bling..+ roush suspension. Stage 3 has the blower.
It should be using the oem software tune...unless an aftermarket tune installed.

I would suggest doing the procedure as noted above..1st.

Not sure how the stage 1,2&3 thing works but I purchased a Roush stage1 R2300 TVS kit. It came with a tune voucher and instructions to send my PCM to Roush for programming. I purchased a Roush stage2 upgrade and it came with a smaller pulley, belt and instructions to send the PCM to Roush for stage 2 reprogramming. Ultimately I added other things to the build that were not covered in the Roush EPA approved tunes and ended up going custom tuned.

You may want to contact Roush with your Vin number and see if it has a tune in it.

I agree with Pentalab. First check and see if the car is supercharged. If the car is a "Roush Stage 2" it's just bling and an exhaust, the car would run fine with a stock Ford Mustang GT tune.

Don't confuse the "car" stages with the "supercharger" stages. If you just purchase a supercharger kit, it comes in different stages...

Hope this makes sense.

To answer the OP's question: those 3 monitors are a bugger. That Ford drive cycle will not work if the tune is slightly off. I had the same issue, and a 5% maf curve adjustment took care of them. I can have mine emissions ready after 5 or 6 trips of 10 miles driven in no particular driving pattern.

Yes, but those 3 monitors not completing is a common issue on many Fords from what Ive seen on HP tuners forum. Even stock vehicles. Guy with a stock ex police explorer was one.
None of the suggestions/drive cycles helped me. Stumbled onto my solution by accident. And now that I WFH, there is no need as I am emission exempt. Put 2900 miles on last year.
Just my OCD that a stock engine should pass all tests. ;)

Make sure you have no exhaust leaks . The O2 monitors are very sensitive to exhaust leaks. A lot of guys change out there H pipes and don't do it properly which will cause a leak . If you have a scanner some will show mode 6 and 9 which will tell you which test are not being run . To start , check the exhaust.

I do believe I have a small exhaust leakon the left header. Monitors still complete just fine.

Ps: LTs suck. They never fit right and require regular maintenace required.

Interesting. I had a problem on my ‘08 not passing those ready monitors but cured it with the spark plug spacer method, hasn’t failed a test in years and now I’m in a non-emissions county so it doesn’t matter anyway.

But yours failed no?
Mine had no failure, just they stayed incomplete.

It would show as incomplete on those monitors, thus failing the OBD inspection. Adding the spacers to the rear sensors allowed them to complete and pass the inspection, similar to yours where there was no real specific drive cycle, typically 15-20 minutes driving around on the way to the inspection station was enough.
