This is the reply I just got back from the warehouse. Apparently the issue is with UPS, yours isn't the only one that's having this issue right now.

"Steve this is not in the building, UPS is delayed in scanning as they are still at capacity at our local facility there is nothing I can do my next day area is empty and gets picked up every night".

So UPS does have it, they just haven't scanned it yet. As I said, if it gets to you and you don't want it I'll send a prepaid shipping label to get it back and we'll issue a full credit.
I have to say here that is some BS. UPS scans when they pick it up...Don't they? Not blaming Tasca here but something is not making sense. I have customers that are drivers and they have all told me if they touch it they scan it. They can not transport an item without scanning.

Not taking sides but I have had things delivered by UPS when the tracking info said it had not been picked up....shrugs....

Believe me I have patience, when I understand what Im getting into. At this point I was given a tracking number on Monday and the status is still "label created" as of 5:07 pm central time, today.

I have tried to cancel, and they wont, stating it has already been processed, yet its not in UPS possession.
Cant even get a confirmation if its sitting in their warehouse in a box ready to go. Was told by two different representatives, they would get back to me today......nothing.

Here is the tracking number check it.....1Z23848E1395002704
If it has been processed, and is enroute.... why cancel the order now ? You won't get it any faster from anybody else..and certainly not cheaper.

Not always. If it's a really large pickup they just upload info from the pickup scan. If there are hiccups with that, that could cause such issues. Once the truck gets to the sorting facility they should scan all the packages individually. If the system is messed up in the UPS buiding, that'll be the problem.

I have a friend that has been with UPS for 30 years, he says when they pick up a package large or small, they scan it right then.

Really? I've shipped on and off since '97 at medium-ish business and I can tell you for certain that the driver does not always scan every single box at pickup. If it's a lot of boxes they scan the shipment overview label the shipping software produces. If it says they have 20 boxes they count to make sure it's 20 boxes and roll out. They DO NOT stand and scan 20 individual boxes. They do not have time to do that at every single stop. I don't care what they are supposed to do, I'm telling you what they actually do.

You're demanding answers and then when the seller gets you the info he can get, you bitch. Some customers are not worth selling too. What else do you expect him to do? Jump on a plane and hand deliver? Shipping is a disaster right now. You ordered. They communicated. Your email tagged the communication as spam, so you didn't see it (but that is somehow their fault). They boxed it. They handed it over to UPS. What ever happens now is on UPS.

You are almost tantruming at this point. They are trying to help. And you are still bitching.

If the parts are manufactured in Mexico, like most Ford items not from China, there will be no traceability.
They never know what is shipped when and it gets worse during the customs cross dock.

There are many groups in Mexico which give loyalty to other groups (such as the cartels) over the actual company.

So they do scan then? Sounds like what you are saying. If they scan the overview label, what would the status be on their website? Label created or something else? What would they status be after 3 days if they scanned the overview?

What does this have to with anything we are talking about? I have a shipper stating the item has been picked up by UPS, and UPS stating they don't have it.

Should be. Doesn't guarantee it is however. UPS makes mistakes. Have you ever thought about how many packages UPS handles in a singe day? It's a miracle they deliver as many on time as they do.

It's around 24 million packages delivered a day BTW. A 0.5% error rate would effect 120,000 packages.

Ok, Tasca is in the New England area, I'm in Texas. Would you assume the package has several different destinations along the way to me? Is it not scanned at each departure and arrival?
I would think at some point it would ping somewhere.
The status according to the tracking number is still "label created" as of 11:16 am central time.

I just bought a new bed in a box, never showed picked up or where it was. It was delivered yesterday. Tracking finally showed something, delivered. No other history. Either you have patience and wait or you pay more and get it locally. I can wait. Fuck, ive waited 14 months and counting for a custom chassis for my lightning.

Your looking at 4-5 days shipping time probably. If the label was created n Monday and it was picked up on Monday night you might see it tomorrow or maybe Monday. Holidays make things messy for UPS. We just had Christmas and New Years is up next. UPS should have scanned it by now. That much is certain.

The only thing that can happen at this point is once the delivery window is missed, the shipper can initiate a trace on the package to make UPS find it. If they do, they deliver it. If not, they pay for it and the shipper re-sends the item.

Yes you are inconvenienced (and that's frustrating) and yes it makes the shipper look bad. But it happens. It's not personal. Try not to take it as such.

I get it. Does not make sense.

Ask your friends how many packages they're picking up at once, we ship literally hundreds every single day. No way on earth a driver could scan them in by hand and still get his job done.

Happens quite frequently actually, reality doesn't always make sense.

Typically if a package doesn't get an initial scan it will make the entire length of its journey without any scans. I have no idea why but I've been in Ford parts for 30 years and specialized in online sales for the last 15 or so and I've seen this happen more times than I care to think about.

This doesn't mean yours will not get scanned, just means they haven't scanned it yet.

No way they could scan every single one by hand leaving a place like ours on a daily basis. When UPS picks up from us they're picking up loaded Gaylord bins and rolling them into the back of a semi trailer.

Direct from our shipping manager, This is about our daily UPS pick up.

"They bring a box truck we give them roughly 3-6 gaylords no scanning is done on our dock. Same guy swings by later in the day just for the next days again no scans just grabs and pops them into the back of the truck."

This. This is what I meant. At least it is a generic scan showing it is then in the drivers possession. I get it with scanning 20 individual. They would never get a business day done.
