So I vacuum bled the master cylinder & it did seem to give me a little better pedal. I’ve got bmr mounts, lower rear control arms, & new rotors & pads on the way. My front control arms should be here tomorrow so I’m plugging along. Buffed it yesterday & need to do my headlights. I was just going to replace them but they’re factory HID so way to expensive.

? What metal did you replace w plastic?

Just a 4 inch section in the lower rear quarters. Have monitored regularly ever since. No flexing/cracking issues felt/noted or evident. Of course, in my case I also added frame connectors front so that could be a factor mitigating any flexing vulnerabilities.

sorry I'm still confused - could you explain a little more, maybe a photo? I just can't gt my head around replacing sheet metal with plastic anywhere on this car, even though I do like the concept

Sure, it's a UV cured fiberglass reinforced polyester product that is flexible/moldable until you hit it with UV light so don't try to put this on in sunlight. Actually, quite strong and going on over a year now; no issues at all. My body guy ran across it and as an experiment repaired both of my cars with it. Amazing product. Really happy with the results. Sorry the second page of instructions are out of focus.

I got the control arms replaced today. Wasn’t the worst thing I’ve done but it wasn’t the easiest either lol. Definitely made a difference & actually straightened up my steering wheel so they were obviously in need of replacement. My rear LCAs came in but I didn’t get around to them today.

Got the LCA’s on today. Definitely an improvement over the factory ones. Car feels more connected to the road now when accelerating. Did pick up a little NVH but I was expecting that. I don’t plan on lowering the car, I will upgrade the shocks/struts in the future. What would be worthwhile next UCA, panhard bar? Car has 180,000 miles so I imagine pretty much all the rubber has seen better days. Motor mounts & brakes are supposed to be here tomorrow so I’ll try to tackle them this weekend.

So I replaced the slave cylinder eyelet with a billet one as mine had some play in it. That seemed to help the shifting a little more. I got a tune from Lito. It’s definitely noticeably smoother than the Bama 93 race. I also installed the BMR motor mounts this afternoon. Those were definitely noticeable as well. Car has a little more vibes as expected but seems much more connected to the road & also seemed to help higher rpm shifting. Making progress…

Got my brakes installed & bled last week & it wasn’t too bad of a job. Car rides & stops much smoother now. I’m sure the ones I took off were the 180k originals. I also found a pair of magnaflow axle backs locally for a 100 bucks so I snatched them up. Took off the muffler delete pipes & put on the magnaflows. The deletes were a touch loud & these are the opposite actually a touch too quiet. They have a good sound just not much of it. I’ll run them for a while & if I don’t like them I’ll sell them.

I came across a new in box ford racing drive shaft & a safety loop for $350 so I scooped it up. Waiting for a nice day to install it. Seems that thoughts on them are all over the place but for the price I figured it was worth a shot.

Got the shaft in today. It was a pain in the ass doing it on jack stands. I was surprised by how heavy the stock one was when I went to pull it out. New one felt about 1/3 as heavy. Driveline clunk is gone starting off & the car feels a little more spunky.

I’ve put a few miles on it now. If you were on the fence about getting one, do it. Car definitely responds faster & accelerates quicker. Before if I wasn’t perfect starting off I got the clunk & you could feel it. Not anymore, 0 clunk & no slop. Smooth as can be to 100, haven’t pushed it any faster. I’m actually impressed with it. I guess my next things with be strut mounts & some 4.10’s.
