Recently had a Paxton Novi 2200 installed on my 07 GT. Love the power.

But need to come up with a solution for accessing my oil filter. The combination of the power steering lines and the new air tubes now constrict access to the oil filter to the point I can’t extract the filter.

I think I have three options. 1) Leave as is and just remove some from air tubes for each oil change; 2) relocate power steering lines with AN plumbing; or 3) relocate oil filter with a good kit.

For those with similar issues from turbo or centrifugal- what worked for you?

Thanks. View attachment 81241 View attachment 81242

I'd say an oil filter relocation kit's in order. Summit Racing sells quite a few, but I'm sure other performance part vendors also have them available. This way you can place the new filter mount where it's easiest to access.

Convert to epas and get rid of that gross hydraulic steering system.

I like the simplicity of EPAS. Sure cleans up the engine bay. And frees up a few HP too boot.
I like the fact that I'm not blowing out power steering pumps on track.
I miss the feel of hydraulic steering. Electric is just not the same, some feel is missing.

It was seamless for me going from hydraulic to electric. I just set the steering to "sport" and leave it there.
Same. It prolly helped that i dropped an inch and a half and toed in a little more. I like a tight predictable steer that'll hold a line as long as I'm happy for it to do so.

EPAS dulls the feel, I got used to it now. Im thinking I should have gone full manual steering.
