As title reads. I just joined with my new(to me) 2010 v-6. I'm located in Durham, NC. My car came factory with the 17X7s, but considering upgrading to the 18s polished Pony Package wheels, the 18s chrome five double-spoke Ford accessory ones, or a set of used staggered 19s AMR (19X8.5 front and 19X10 rears). My question (or more of a concern), how bad is the tire rubbing inside the fender well? I've read several threads about these somewhere else. I can just stick to the 18s instead.

Yep...need to make things fit...rubbing sux & is precursor to damaging something (tire/wheel/fender).

Rubbing does suck so make sure you do your research.

FYI - the downside to a staggered set up is you can't rotate all 4 tires. You only rotate the front two tires, and the back two tires for even tire wear.

Thanks for all your input. I think I'll settle for 18" same width all around (just for now:)).

I'll check the classifieds for a good used factory set in here. i also need some interior parts, but when i went into the WTB section in Classifieds, I do not have enough privileges. Will that become available as I keep posting? I also need to unload some extra parts I have from my 2007 F-150 that I no longer need, but same as the other section, I do not have enough privileges.

Thanks.

I am in the same boat as you are (want to post my Saleen that I have for sale in that section). I do believe you'll have the privileges once you hit 50 posts but I am not positive if that is the case. That is what was the minimum back then.

The AMRs in 19" I am considering have 245/40ZR19 tires, 19x8.5 +35 Wheels, would these rub inside the front of a 2010 v-6 with factory 17's?

That will very likely be fine. These cars have relatively roomy fender wells. I have 275s all around on a set of 2011 GT500 wheels and they aren't even close to rubbing. Plenty of folks have 295s and even 305s all around.
The offset math says your 245s would have 25mm more clearance than my setup on the back side and 5mm more on the outside.
Now, I just have to ask... If you're forking over the money for new wheels, why settle for basically stock width? The slight cost increase to get 275s or 285s on 9.5" to 10" wide wheels under all four corners is IMHO, well worth it for both handling and appearance reasons.

Thanks for your input AZ Haze.
To clarify, this is a used set (tires+wheels) I'm contemplating to purchase. The fronts are 19X8.5, the rears are 19X10.
My concern is that the V-6s don't have the steering"stoppers" like the GT have, (so the v-6s have a smaller turn radio and thus the wheel/tire goes "deeper" inside the fender well when on full-lock).

Yes you need to add steering stoppers to your steering rack. It is not difficult to do.
