At what point do you need a higher pressure fuel pump?

When in the upgrade timeline should a fuel pump upgrade come into play? Any specific horsepower numbers, or any specific mods?

When your fuel pump duty cycle goes past 90% or so. I'm not sure what power level that is though and with the stock pumps being at least 12 years old by now, I wouldn't assume yours is capable of the flow it was when new.
FWIW, my stock pump was fine with basic bolt ons (CAI, CMCV deletes, LT headers, tune).

Until you go FI and/or E85 you should be fine. There are BAPS for the lower boosted applications. I ran 507RWHP on a 2005 with a KB boost-a-pump and had no issues. The car after I sold it was flogged to death and held up fine. As to when Duty Cycle wise, the reputable tuners I have worked with will not push stock alone past 80-85% duty cycle without some form of upgrade, be it a BAP or full blown fuel pump upgrade. I made 631RWHP on stock pump with BAP and ID1050x injectors on 93 safely as well on a Coyote setup.

I installed a 10 ga wire, (fused) directly from battery terminal to rear trunk. That alone will drop the FPDC by at least 10%. Next step would be a BAP....which just outputs a constant 17 vdc. If that is not enough, dual pumps, like what's used in the GT-500's are typ used. If that doesn't do it, a dual BAP with dual outputs can be used on the dual GT-500 pumps. Watch out with dual GT-500 pumps and a dual BAP, at WOT, that combo will suck 40 amps from the battery..and 8 ga should be used, or even 6 ga, or paralleled 10 ga wires.

So, can anyone help me figure out what Im looking at here? Theres something wrong with my car, and I think its fueling related. I feel like its not getting enough fuel.

Don't see anything alarming. Duty cycle never goes above 82%. So don't see anything that would show a pump issue getting fuel out and to the rails. Fuel pressure at injectors looks good too. There are many other things that effect afr and drivability. So without you providing details of your setup and issues we don't have much to go on.

Who tuned it and what are the mods? Symptoms? DETAILS? Crystal Balls are overrated and don't work. So some details and what led to the problem would benefit everyone.
