I recently purchased the Paxton Novi 1200 Supercharger for 2006 Mustang GT. Who has experience with this system? I would like to know if there's anything else I should add to it for best performance or is a must have for the build?

Here's what's included in the system.

  • NOVI 1200SL gear driven centrifugal supercharger with drive pulley
  • Bypass valve
  • MAF Housing
  • Piping
  • Couplers
  • Air filter
  • Brackets
  • Hardware

I installed the Vortech V3-Si system last year which is very similar. I don't see the necessary fuel system upgrades on your list (injectors and FP upgrade). I'd suggest a Lito tune as well. It's a great setup. You'll enjoy it.

I have the throwback, and it came with a new fuel pump, new injectors, an IAT relocation kit, and a tune. I'm not too crazy about the tune...its ok, but it was a nice "seat-of-the-pants" difference than the stock kit.
A BOV is an upgrade I heard was worth getting...not for extra power or sound, but for reliability. The stock Bosch unit didn't get great reviews.
A heat exchanger is an upgrade that would allow for more boost by keeping temps down. A few folks have kits here.

I do have to get off my lazy butt and contact Lito though...that would probably be the best upgrade.

Edit: Did you get the Tuner kit, without the fuel system upgrades and handheld tuner? If so, then you will have to get some extras for the fuel delivery, etc...

I've got a Vortech Si trim as well.
Yes, fuel pump and injector upgrades are a must have.
I got the all-inclusive kit and ditched the included pump upgrade and tune almost immediately. I ended up going with a TI Automotive (Walbro) 400 LPH pump and a tune from Lito. The pump required some minor modifications to the hanger but dropped my duty cycle around 10% vs. the Vortech dual pump setup. I will eventually upgrade the wiring to the pump as well. The included 39# injectors are also pretty much maxed out so if you're starting with a tuner kit, I would suggest getting at least 42# and preferably 47# injectors.

So should I go with a FP or the kenne bell boost-a-pump system? Which FP's are the best for this supercharger?

As a rough rule of thumb for a forced induction V8 engine, you could use the following formula to determine the rwhp that your choice of injectors will support when maxed out.

RWHP = Injector flow (b/hr) x 12.5

So a set of 47lb injectors will support up to ~580rwhp. The next step up would be 60lb injectors which would allow close to 750rwhp. That said, I'd always err on the side of choosing a bigger injector than you might think is necessary rather than trying to max out a set of smaller injectors.
For the Paxton Novi 1200SL, a set of 47lb injectors would be the best way to go as these would give you room to grow if you decide to upgrade to the intercooled Novi 2200.

So should I go with a FP or the kenne bell boost-a-pump system? Which FP's are the best for this supercharger?

The Kenne Bell BAP raises the voltage to the existing stock fuel pump to increase its output. If you're likely to upgrade beyond the NOVI 1200SL some time in the future, it's probably better to go straight to a GT500 dual pump set up.

I started with the Vortech v3, CX racing air intercooler, 60lb injectors, gt500 pumps and Lito tuned and made around 470rwhp. But because I knew I wanted to go bigger then, now I have a built motor with vortech V7 same fuel delivery making 627rwhp. Once you get the itch man it’s hard to stop lol.

Would y'all say my car has to many miles for the supercharger? It has 137,000 miles.

If the car has been well maintained and has a reasonable healthy engine I wouldn't let the miles stop me. I installed mine at 104K and its been doing fine though I don't push it hard often.

I keep it very well maintained. So hopefully it'll all work well!

I know I mentioned this before but it's worth bringing up again. Contact Lito for the tune. He will ask that you have a wideband O2 and a boost gauge for datalogging. Not a big deal to add them but they aren't cheap either.

Be sure to add the SCT FireWire for the analog input from the WB. You then add this to the config file. Makes Lito’s job a lot easier.

How do you like the CX Racing Intercooler? It’s cheaper than the one you can buy from Paxton.

It gets the job done, I like to try something else but idk if it will make a big difference or worth the trouble. I still have a meth kit I have yet to install so that should help with the intake temps too.
