Thanks,

Remember, the S197 does not have adjustable front camber stock. You will need to either add adjustable top camber plates, or a set of adjustable lower camber bolts which replace the stock bolt on each side, they use a cam on the bolt. I went the cheap route and did the lower bolts. It worked perfect, I took the car in to the front end shop for a four wheel alignment. The bolts got mine perfect. It handled like crap before I got the camber fixed.

If you're interested I have a new set (installed for two weeks; then put away). They'll lower the car about 1/2" - 1". I ended up installing a set of Roush.

FWIW, I would not lower mine any lower, it becomes too impractical for street use. I have 9.5 inch wide wheels with 255/275 tires. Nothing rubs. Good luck with your baby.

I don’t want much lowering, so that’s why I’m considering these. Mine has standard 17” factory wheels and tires.
Die Harder, are yours theses exact ones? How much? Where are you? I’m in SW Florida.

I haven’t installed them on any convertibles although I’ve put Sportlines on my 2014 TrkPak and helped put them on 4 other 2011 to 14 Gt’s and there isn’t a need to put adjustable caster/camber plates on them because the ones on my 14 were still in spec after lowering them. I had the 14 GT500 wheels and tires on mine and never had an issue with rubbing even with 4 adults in the Mustang.

My '08 came with them (29K miles). I don't believe you're going to like them. My wife hated them. Ride was like a lumber wagon. I replaced them with complete set of BMR, wife is happy now.

I'm not thinking of installing them but curious. My 2008 Convertible is a GT/CS. It barely clears the curb. I read somewhere that the CS comes lower in the front than other Mustangs. Defiantly couldn't lower it more without damaging the front bumper.

It looks like its been about a year since you first posted this. I am wondering where you ended up. If you proceeded to lower your car are you glad you did? I have an '07 GT Vert that is sitting at stock height. I really like the look of a lowered S197, but am concerned about drivability (hitting things with the front of the car) and comfort. Since your profile says you are 72 how much harder is it to get in and out of (I am no longer a young guy).

Thanks
