Hey guys! I recently went from stock manifolds, stock cats, pypes Xpipe, into Roush extreme axle-backs which sounded good but I wanted a little more volume. So I added cams and went with a BBK hi-flow catted x pipe and now my car is so loud it will make your ears bleed and
although it sounds AMAZING, my wife hates it. Being a convertible doesn't help matters either. So, I put my stock Shelby mufflers back on and now it's WAY too quiet. Anybody got any suggestions on an axle-back that is somewhere in the middle with little to no drone. I want to hear my cams, but I also want to be able to have a conversation with my wife when we ride.

High flow cats increase the volume a lot.

Good option might be the Borla Touring. Expensive, but I ran a set for a bit with my longtubes and shorty catted H and ended up swapping them out because they were actually a little quieter than I wanted.

I have a magnaflow 15882 Axle back. It isn't much louder than stock though. It does not drone at all but the tone sounds much deeper than stock.

I ran it with the stock cats and with a single turbo/no cats and it is still a pretty tame street car.

I'm not one to spend alot of money, I spread my money around my 07 GT and motorcycles so I when I needed something louder and aggressive I bought Mac muffler deletes and I'm extremely happy, $206!!! Nice 4" tips, no x pipe, just a loud good sounding exhaust.

no cats, mid-mounted Cherry Bomb glass packs and Flowmaster Outlaws behind the axle. Pretty darn obnoxious but wouldn't have it any other way.

No cats, cherry bombs and no Flowmaster. Then run cams that open the exhaust valves about 65* BBDC. Should pretty much make the glass rattle.:driver:
