Looking for tips of your supercharger install!

Any special things you did that weren’t in the instruction manual?

Any videos out there that are very helpful?

might want to indicate what system you're considering and search the site, many write ups on installs

Bag and label everything you remove during disassembly. Lay out the entire kit before you start the install to make sure you are not missing any parts or hardware.

Is this a full system or tuner kit (fuel system upgrades and tune not included)? Suggestions and tips will vary greatly depending on what you are installing.

The actual hardest part of my install was getting the fuel pump in. Seems like Ford failed to line the access hole to actually line up with the pump hat. If you unbolt the straps to your tank and let it drop down a few inches it will give you some more wiggle room to maneuver and install the pump.

I put an IAT sensor in the manifold. The stock IAT sensor is in the MAF meter so (assuming you're using the Paxton supplied draw thru setup) the ECU can't see charge air temp changes.

I don't mean to sound like sour grapes and I'm no mechanic but I have heard that if you install this system when it becomes heat soaked your advantage dwindles. Just saying.

Take lots of detailed photos b4 and keep them for future reference. Be systematic and take notes and use the instructions as a checklist. HIGHLY recommend the Gates RPM belt, way less stretching and much better power transfer. Solved a huge problem on my whipple setup.

I've done both "turbo" (like yours) and twin screw types, the one you're doing is pretty simple and easy, at least by comparison. I would plan on a full weekend in the garage - then the fun begins! Beware snap oversteer!

run a Boost a pump and larger injectors, all you'll need for the fuel system. Install is extremely straight forward, just take your time and keep track of what's being uninstalled. The routing of your oil lines is pretty critical, I had one rubbing on my crank pulley and ate a hole into the braided line. Paxton provides detailed instructions that got me threw the install without additional instructions needed.

That's true of all forced induction setups. What matters is how hard you can run it before that happens.
One of the selling points of centrifugal blowers is that they have better adiabatic efficiency than PD blowers. My personal experience with a Vortech Si (same blower as the Novi 1200) has included zero heat soak. IATs at my 9psi max are within 20° of ambient.

When you do the boost pump make sure you install a bigger fuse. I blew my once and thought I deadlined the car and it was just a fuse.

I have a boost pump since 2007. The fuse has never blown. Maybe the wrong fuse was included; however, I would recommend against doing that from the get go. Fuses are sized by the wire they are protecting. Contact the vendor to see if they've had a fuse problem, and then go with their recommendation.

Don't forget to supercharge the suspension, brakes, and tires.

You might want to think about putting a larger pulley on your alternator or you could find it breaking down in a short space of time

My shop called Brenspeed and in this particular set-up the fuse had to be upgraded for the Paxton 2200SL paxton.

Stops the alternator spinning to fast and failing, I believe the Saleen SC kit comes with a different pulley for the alternator

Oh I thought it was something to do with installing the supercharger. I mean the engine still spins at the same speeds, it's not like the alternator gets spun faster with an SC on there. Seems kinda counter productive. I feel better with my alternator spinning as fast as it should, not that I have a bunch of electronics or anything, but it just seems weird to want to slow it down,
