A lot of people even mechanic's don't know about AC clutch air gap, I spent a lot of money having my ac worked on to no avail, I googled it and found out about ac clutch air gap.
. I fixed my ac clutch at cost of $1.98 for a packet of washer. I am an old man (74) it took me about 30 minutes to do the repair.
Hi, I just had this issue on my 08 GT/CS. It turns out the resistor cable was the issue. This cable has a coil on it and a thermal cutoff. If the coil gets too hot, which I assume is from the fan motor pulling too much current, the thermal cutoff will open. You can measure continuity across thermal cutoff. If cutoff is good, it should read 0 ohms. If bad there will be no continuity. Im getting ready to buy a new one today. Good luck.

You mean this?.... It will set you back $75 or you can get a entire new fan assembly that includes this part for about the same price. It's up to you.

Hi Robert, unfortunately I did not see your response early enough. Yes, I did purchase the harness. I did check pricing after you post on entire fan units. There are some for roughly $100-150. The Ford OEM is roughly $300. I understand that now they sub it out to the Shelby style which produces more airflow. Thank you for your suggestion.
