Hello all,
My grandson wants to buy tires and wheels for his 05 GT. He has a line on a set of Pirelli 235/50/18 mounted on stock 2018 Mustang wheels. I am not sure if they come off a GT or not. Do you know if 2018 wheels will fit a 2005? He has 20" tires and wheels on the car now and wants to go to a smaller wheel and tire. The seller is asking $565 for the package. Is that a good price, in your opinion?
Thanks for your time!

I have a set of 18" wheels from a 2010. Fits great on my 07.
No pics, cannot comment on price.

The 2018 (S550 chassis) wheels have slightly less offset than stock S197 wheels but it's not really an issue with the narrower wheels.
A friend of mine had S550 18"s on his 2014 GT for winter. They come a bit closer to the fender lip than OE S197 wheels of the same size but didn't rub.

Bolt pattern is the same for those stangs, the wheels will fit no issue. Can you send us a pic or something of the set- 565 doesnt seem to be a bad price for 4 corners and 4 tires (if they are in very good condition), but again depends on wheels. If it is those non premium 2018 grey stock wheels - i wont personally pay that much for those - no one really wants them, but again depends on the person and what you are looking for. Also if its a square setup, running 235 on the rears of the mustang even if its stock gt is not a wise idea by any stretch of the imagination.

My grandson and a neighbor met the seller and trial-fit one wheel before finalizing the purchase. He paid $500 for the wheels and tires and $100 to balance and remove the old tire/rim and mount the new ones. He says the car rides better and he is happy with the deal. Also, he will sell the old set to help lower the final cost even more! Thanks for all your advice and help!
