Hey guys, I hope one of you can help me out. 2006 GT convertible with 182k, lowering springs, new shocks, adjustable panhard bar 3 years ago. Under light > moderate throttle, the car pulls to the left, let off the gas and comes back to the right. Tracks fine once settled again. No extensive mods besides an intake, axle back n tune. I just had my car in today to replace the pinion seal in the rear diff, and I asked them to make sure everything is right and tight in the back end including the adjustable panhard bar (all good). The tech took it for a test drive and noticed the same thing. Lower control arm bushings?? I mean shit, if I had FI or something then I might expect it, but stock?! Any help would be great guys......TIA!

Does the rear pull to the left? [Requiring Left steering input to keep it straight]
or does the front steer to the left? [Requiring Right steering input to correct]

When you lowered the rear did you add LCA relocation kit? [if not this could be the issue]
Your car could have rear roll understeer caused by the front pivots of the LCA being lower than the rear rivots.
The torque reaction of the engine causes the right side of the car to lean over [shortening the wheelbase on the R/H side and lengthening the wheelbase on the L/H side]

My race car has quite a lot of roll understeer, but we live with it because it provides a lot of mid-corner side bite.

the front steers to the left and is noticeable even with moderate throttle. The car has been lowered for 3 years with NO relocation kit and has had no issues until a couple months ago.

Upper - there is only one
Whoops, ha.....3link. I'm used to my chevelle and gbody
Btw, I looked for a ford racing upper, but there's nothing but oem replacement or arms with poly bushings (bmr, whiteline etc.) Any takers? If the problem are the lca's, I Midas well replace the upper too

That means the rear could be steering to the right because the LR wheelbase is shortening under torque
Or it is a front end steering issue. [under lift]

Get somebody to observe the wheel movement in the wheel arch while you go from forward to reverse. [check both sides]

And also check lateral movement in the steering rack mounts

If it is Bushings in the LCA's are shot, just press in new rubber ones [it is a street car not a race car]
So far your existing bushings have lasted 182 k [poly bushings are a PITA]

I used the Roush reinforced upper control arm & the GT500 bushing in the differential case. I installed Steeda billet lower control arms with poly bushings Big difference in the way the car cornered. I have a basically stock Bullitt with Konis. No harsh road noise. I'm very happy.
