I just finished installing my kennebell 2.6l intercooled kit and I cannot get it to start. Lito sent me a base startup tune and it wants to fire but it won’t. It will sputter a little and that’s it. Lito said the fuel pressure was high. I checked for vacuum leaks with a smoke machine and found none.

Yes it fires a little bit and doesn’t run I took all of the plugs out and it’s full of fuel.

What were they gapped at before? I found gapping my brisk to .28-.30 has worked the best for me.

.035 for a Stage 1/2 on the 4" pulley is fine.

If you increase boost and HP, then going to .028ish would be preferred, IMO

.028 way too narrow IMHO at 7-10 lbs, I run that gap at 20#

I ran .032" at 10psi for years with a blower, and for S&Gs, I threw in HT0s gapped to .042" and still saw no sign of spark blow out in datalogs. I see no reason for going down to .028" at 7-10psi. You want as much gap as you can get and still have reliable spark. The only reason we neck down the gap is because of the increased resistance caused by the denser intake charge and our inability to increase the power to the coils to overcome the increased resistance on a stock PCM/coil setup. Our solution is to reduce the distance between the anode and cathode to reduce that resistance.

I had the same problem after installing my kennebell...the furnished tuner doesn't work and I could start the engine; I had to find a competent engineer to custom modify the tuning !

Well what is your fuel pressure at? If you have too much pressure it'll run rich. Have you tried pressing the pedal all the way to the floor for a couple seconds and then let off while still cranking. See if she fires for a second when you let up. If she does that means Lito is right and there is too much fuel.
