Bought a MBRP exhaust for the car. The MAC axle back doesn’t sound as amazing post-cam swap and, after 13 years, it’s time for a change.

Installed the MBRP street cat back after work today. The install instructions will have you double working and I wadded them up. The fit and finish was nice for the the price point and I’d buy it again. The first start was a bit under whelming but it’ll grow on me. There is next to no drone but I’ll report back on that tomorrow after my 100 mile work commute.

Recently, I changed out the blown stock struts/shocks for Steeda Pro Action stuff. Not going to win any races with them but at least the car isn’t a wallowing pig any longer. The goal is to upgrade to Vorshlag/MCS TT1 coil overs but I had to do something in the meantime. Terry has laid a solid path for me to follow and I’m excited for what will come.

The install was extremely straightforward and almost too easy.

Apparently, we took the bump stops out completely at some point.

Look at that witness mark! That’s how shitty things had gotten when the shocks deteriorated.

I am happy with the ride height and can turn my attention to other things, for now. Now that the suspension is a little tighter, I’ve now realized some of the bushings must be worn. When you weave the car back and forth quickly you can feel it. You can also hear it squeak when you rock the car in park. I’ll have to decide what gets replaced first.

The next few things I plan to address:

1. AC blend door actuator failing
2. fuel filter
3. Revise catch can setup
4. Fresh window tint

Right? It all started in 2009! I need to restore the older pictures that were lost in the Photobucket fiasco. This car was our “good car” for many years and took a back seat to my SN95 track day ride when it came to mods. Well, those days are over and it’s my project car now.

Lots more in store for this pony so, stay tuned!

NICE CAR! Keep up the great work.

1. AC blend door actuator failing - The passenger sides are easy, drive side are a BITCH!
2. fuel filter - I do this every oil change which is once a year. Do a reverse flush of the filter (blow through it from the opposite end & into a clear receptacle) after removal and you will see the crap that the filter catches.
3. Revise catch can setup - Unless your experiencing blow-by or an accumulation of oil in the TB or intake track, not really sure why everyone does this mod?
4. Fresh window tint - I always get the lifetime warranty from an established reputable shop. There are some shops that they never touch your windows with a knife. Computer cuts-out the film and tech applies it.

Well, when I didn’t have a catch can and the PCV was intact it was blowing oil by the cam cover gaskets. The intercooler was totally coated with oil as was the supercharger, of course. Installed a Moroso can with one line from the passenger cam cover and the other to the CAI.

It works but it’s ugly. I’m going to buy an oil filler AN adapter, run it to a vented Motion Raceworks catch can and then from the cam back to the passenger side cam cover nipple.

Like this:

My buddy just changed all of his actuators. He was ready to burn the car to the ground. Can’t wait lol

You are a more adventurous person than I am…. Did the ones on the passenger side laying upside dow and even considered removing the seat for more space.

The last time the dash was out of the 05’ it was a professional doing the A/C evaporator. I had all the driver side ones replaced at the same time with factory motorcraft.
