Evening all....

The factory shifter in the 05 to 09 4.0L manual 5 speed leaves alot to be desired. I have been searching for a replacement for a while with no luck.
Seem the aftermarket has lost the love for the v6, if there was any in the first place, lol.
I know that there were upgraded shifters made for the v6 mustangs back in the day.....
Does anyone know of any manufacturer still producing one? Or does anyone have one that they would sell?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I went with the Hurst for my V6. It's an improvement over the stock shifter, but not a big one. IMO, spend the money and buy the MGW...if I could do it again, that's the way I would go.

MGW is worth every penny. great product. Install isn't too bad, but we did mine on a lift. Jack stands in the driveway might be different story.

I like the Hurst, second one I've had. Be aware the poly bushings will wear out, it happened to me in a hurst and a steeds. I personally like the Hurst better, more positive engagement, almost clicks into gear. Both are light years ahead of the Ford oem unit

Install should be the same on all of them, not too bad but required a few cuss words. If course it gets easier after you do it a couple times. I did it 4-5 times on the ground, using wheel cribs - better and safer than jack stands
