Spent the day at Palmer Motorsports Park, a 2.3 mile "rollercoaster" of a road course for an all mustang event. A family of 3 local Ford dealers put on a first class event - from the hat at entry, to the breakfast and lunch and of course "parade laps" - all free of charge......it was very well run and organized despite only being the second time they have done it. This year had twice the turn out....268 mustangs is what I heard one person say.
As someone who has never run on a road course, I can see how it could become addicting - newer mach 1's were used as pace cars and we went off in groups of 8, while the runs were admmitadly not "flat out" and there was no passing, we did see triple digit speeds on the straight away....
Thanks to the Sarat family and all their helpers for a great day

It was an amazing event. Mustangs of every phase and color, actually the only one I did not
see was the Mustang II from the 80's. Lots of beautiful cars and friendly people. The track laps were interesting and a lot of fun. It was all handled in a safe manner that allowed fun for all.
Look forward to next year....

Palmer Motorsports Park in Palmer, MA - https://www.mustangsonthemountain.com/ - the website is not updated with the 2022 gallerys, etc - but you can get an idea of the schedule, etc - As I noted, it was a great event - but left me wanting more....will probably do a couple of track days there next year...

As much as I would like to attend the Mustang on the Mountain event back east, it's just not practical driving from Idaho back. Time of year a factor as well as here we could be getting into winter conditions on my return.

Thanks to Danny and his original posting I joined a Mustang Car Club in Spokane, WA. They post all kinds of event and things you can participate in. I know there won't be near the number of cars but still get to see a lot of Mustangs in one place.

While it is not a Mustang only event, SCCA holds Track Night in America (TNiA) events.

These are what I will call "lapping" events held at road courses across the country. Passing is allowed by waive by and only in certain sections of the track. No racing and no lap times, just the experience of driving on a closed circuit road course.

TNiA is open to non-SCCA members, and you don't need any prior on-track experience. Cars must be street licensed and the only real safety equipment needed is a helmet and maybe a long sleeve shirt.

The season is winding down, but locations and information can be found here:
