Looks like I'm gonna have to run a regular street tire since DR's don't seem to be available in the size I need. So I will step down a tire size and go with either a Nitto trip 5 G2 or NT05, or the Michelin Pilot 4S. Those seem to be the tires available in a 295/45/18. I haven't run a regular street tire on this car for a decade or so. Any thoughts? I have the 4S's on one of my cars now and they seem pretty decent but it's only 300 hp.

The 275s are a touch small for what I'm looking for.
The 325s are out of stock. Not sure they would fit. You put those on a 10" wheel? I would think a 12" wheel would be more appropriate for this size tire.
M&H run a bit narrow, yes, have had them on a 10" wheel for 10 years maybe
Do you think they will fit without any rubbing? Pictured is a 305/45 with ProKit springs. Currently running CobraJet RA springs which might be just a touch lower. Not sure if the suspension compresses it will not rub.
And the 345's are out of stock. Seems to be a real problem out there. MT and Nitto don't seem to have any out there anywhere. And street tires are very limited in those sizes or sizes that are close. I think that's why I just gott get some regular street tires for now.

Rear sizing standards with respect to rim width: 10" +40mm; 10.5" +45mm; 11.0" +52mm. I am running a Forgestar 11" on the rear and they specified +56mm which I have found gives ZERO room for error on the inside but allows for an even wider tire without pooching. If the centering is off as little as .250" you may have rubbing on one side on the +56mm offset with 11 rim. An adj. pan hard obviously resolved that.
I've always looked to Vossen as reference on wheel fitment. Never found their offsets to conflict at all. They use the above offsets for the rears on 2005+ Mustangs. For the front +32mm to +35mm 8.5" and 9.0" respectively. Never had any rubbing even running a 28.6" tire using these numbers on rear applications, and I have bought a lot of wheels since 2012.
I run single adjustable Strange shock in the rear with BMR drag springs (1.5" drop min) and a 305-35-20 (28.6") tire.
In your photo Boss you will be fine. Mine are that tight as well. No rubbing on the outside at all.

wish I could tell you, they are True Forge Wheels, custom and at the time I don't think they told me the offset, I'll try to remember to check the boxes and see if it says on them what they were.

Im a bit confused, on what your wheel size is, i have 20x11 +56 on the back, and 305/35 is the biggest you will want to run, because wider you will rub, if its nitto invos - 315 will fit since nitto runs narrower. As for the non street slicks tires - MPS 4s is the best tire you can run period that is not a slick or half slick. G2 555 is a good tire for its price, i actually run them on the front and they are great (really hard tire tho), but on the rears it wont really hook. Second option is what i have now is MT street comps and i have 0 issues with traction while normal driving, or really in rain - obviously if you dont do dumb stuff on the road lol. It hooks in second very well at 440 whp

I’ll throw 2 cents at the NITTO 555 G2. They are the hardest tire I have ever run. I swear they are made of plastic rather than rubber and I could spin them in 4th gear. In general use they drove ok.
I would never run the non-DR 555 on the back of a Mustang.
I briefly drove a 650 whp GT500 with 285/40/18 555 G2's on the back and I spun them as if I had spare tires on the car, absolutely no traction.
My wife has them in 275/35/20 on the front Alcoas on her Shelby and doesn't like them. They flat-spot quickly and take forever to round back out. Also seems to be that they're picky as far as balancing is concerned, they have a light nibble we have not been able to cure yet.

The Michelin PS4S is a fantastic tire for straight line traction, given its intended purpose of being an all around street tire. I honestly feel they have better traction than the original NT555R, but likely not quite as good as the G2 version or NT05R.
I think the PS4S would work great for you, as long as you understand it's not a drag radial and you don't try to launch on the street.

My problem is finding tires. I've always run the MT Street R's or the Comp SS. Tried the Nitto DR's and they are OK but not preferred. There is nothing out there in the sizes I need that is why I'm looking at regular street tires.
I think this is the direction I'm going to go in until DRs become available again. I run the the Michelins on my Little turbo vert.

Yeah MPS4s is the best you can go tire that is not a DR, dont do 1st gear wot clutch dumps and they will treat you very well, have in mind that they like to be warm before you do anything crazy. I would go those any day of the week, but when i was looking for a set few months back, they ran 600 a tire for my size, so had to look into a bit less expensive MT street comp direction

My 555 G2 rear tires were fine. 295's. I think Lito has my car turned down to about 395 hp, though.
I called about a couple more as they have been bald for about 2 years. There was one in North America. I asked about DR's, I think the quote was $2,000 for two, 555R2's or whatever they are now.
Car is garage art. I've put maybe 3 tanks of fuel through it in 2 years. Obsolete!!! I am looking at a new Starling Murmur frame, though, and at building a grain mill so I can live on oatmeal I'm growing at my farm. Even in a drought year with no apples, can eat seeds...
I wonder where JJ427R and that guy who was rebuilding stump grinders with different engines are these days??
