Is there anything I should do to this section of my turbo kit before I take it to shop for welding? In a vid I watched a guy said “for better gate control and eliminate boost creep cap the red section and dump the yellow to atmosphere”! I have no clue about any of this lol

I want to do it that way bcz it’ll make install easier but are there any negatives? Will there be a noise difference?

I can see it making under the hood very hot dumping it there maybe

That is going to be under the oil pan. You could put a little pipe on the end to direct it away. Yes, you will hear it.

Do you have two blow off valves?

Two options to vent? One atmospheric and the other recirculating back into the motor?

hmmm yeah if it doesn’t help with performance or control I don’t want to hear it

just one that I know of from the wastegate. The pressure not needed to spin the turbo would just be vented under the oil pan is how I see it

I can see in my head though how pressure going from the down pipe could effect the wastegate. So when it’s said “better control of the wastegate”….it kinda makes sense so I wanted to ask.

Had a few last night and didn’t catch what you were saying lol….the gate on the piping is On3’s but I’m replacing it with the other one. On3 told me their gate wouldn’t be big enough for 15-16lbs

Every OEM wastegate I can think of since catalytic converters became a thing has dumped into the downpipe without causing problems. If the WG is sized properly, boost creep will not be an issue regardless of where the outlet gets dumped.
If this is anything but a drag car, I wouldn't suggest having any exhaust being dumped forward of the firewall (or underneath the car at all for that matter).

Roger that…I’ll keep the setup how it’s supposed to be!!
