    2011 front brake caliper won’t compress all the way to get over new pads.

    When I couldn't compress the piston I just threw it back together because the pads had a little bit of life left. I picked up the brake tool kit for compressing the piston on Facebook for $20. Did the job a few weeks and with the tool the piston went right in.

    Monkey, it looks great, I am assuming the one you got on Ebay was used? How much did they want for it? You don't see these often so I am surprised there was one on Ebay, that was a lucky find.

    Sorry, someone had already grabbed it at the yard. When I first saw this the dash trim was half removed, I noticed the air bag was still in it's holder behind the trim but I didn't decide to buy til later and by then the bag was gone. Is I come across another one I will let you know.

    Used parts are now fairly easy to get for the ‘05-‘09 Mustang at the junk yards around the Boston area if you know where to look but the 2010-2014 are far and few between.

    Pony Package is a great option for the V6 Mustang

    I heard of someone finding a build sheet under the front passenger seat. You can go to a Dodge dealer with a vin# and get a complete three or four page run out of every detail and option on a car but I'm not sure there is a way to do it with a Ford.

    So this is how the Pony Package option looked on the window sticker in 2006. Not a mention of the rear sway bar or the GT front sway bar. Someone who ordered the package back then must have been delighted when they finally realized they had a rear sway bar installed.

    Well, much to my surprise MasterofDisaster’s Rustoleum chrome rattle can trick worked amazingly well for a quick and easy fix. The chrome metallic paint does match the wheel finish almost exactly so it’s great for areas around the center cap that can get really messed up over time.

    Yes, these touchscreens are a disaster to use while you are driving, I read something recently in consumer reports that said that the manufacturer’s are thinking of going back to knobs for the basic functions like volume and changing stations.

    Not sure, I’ve never installed one but you see a lot of these big screen units around. Most were probably installed by a car stereo place. That unit in the pic was state of the art in 2010 and here is another aftermarket Kenwood from the same era that was in a 2005 I had.

    Just bought some GT500 mufflers off a guy. Are these more or less the same as GT mufflers?

    I’ll try the Chrome Rustoleum on a few spots where it is really bad like in the photo and see how it works. The only other way does appear to be heavy sanding to get by the clear coat and remove the corrosion and then fine sanding and polishing and then reapplying a clear coat.

    05-09 Complete Conversion to 11-14

    I’m not qualified to answer this but if it were me I would get a complete harness from a car that was as close to the set up that you will be using.
