    There has to be someone out there with a stroked 4.6 in CA who has passed smog tests? Would love to hear from them. I was hoping not to spend a lot of time switching out cams, tunes, etc. moving forward. But I do love to drive my car as it should be.

    AHaze, Thanks for good advice. Yes, I have to run the stock air box with the factory tune to pass smog tests. Once passed, I’ll do what is needed to increase the drivability issues from there.

    rschmid, not sure what stroker components you are using, or if this even applies anymore to a stroked mod motor, But I do know from building stroker small blocks years ago, some brands of piston and rod combo's had the rod pin cut through the oil ring groove, which caused the 347's to burn oil...

    Thanks 2526Bullitt, the FR m-6600-f46 was my first choice, but they've been discontinued from Ford, so I went with the Melling version of it. I'm also using the FR timing set.

    Getting ready to order my 5.0 stroker kit for an Aluminum 3V 4.6. I'd like to increase the CR slightly over the factory 9.8. Has anyone run a N/A 10+ up to 11CR and did it effect octane, Knock, or reliability in anyway? Currently run most bolt-on N/A mods with a tune. Please advise.
