OEM Boss 302 side exit exhaust - fits 2011-2014 GT - local pickup in CT

This OEM exhaust assembly, part number M-5220-MB was discontinued long ago and I worked pretty hard to save up for and buy this set and it turned out to be the best mod I ever did to my 2011 GT. It created the absolute perfect exhaust note and volume. If it would fit on my S550, it would be...

Is that right!? Come on, Ford! This reminds me of the hood corrosion issues that spans generations. Ford just never saw fit to fix it.

Why are you sticking with your S197?

I'm right there with you, Ox! I did the exact same math last summer! I ended up with a '17 WRX, mostly because I didn't need the bigger Fusion. In any case, the Subaru's main function is to keep my Mustang and my Mopar out of the road salt. I have days where I doubt this decision because a...

RTR aluminum deck lid spoiler...available again?!

Yep. When I couldn't find the RTR piece for the longest time, I seriously considered 101blur's spoiler. They do look pretty sharp and IIRC, he does track his car so I'd hope that he has come up with a design that actually works. But they're just a bit too outrageous for me.

Unfortunately for 2011+ S197 owners, you only get to have AC for the first ~40k miles before the compressor takes a dirt nap.

Why are you sticking with your S197?

Don't get me wrong, I love almost everything about my 2011 GT. It still feels quick, has been extremely reliable, still looks good (to me anyway)...when the 2013 refresh came along, I loved it but not that much more than my 2011. The engine upgrades were insignificant...so I held onto my...

RTR aluminum deck lid spoiler...available again?!

Yeah. It’s a good looking piece on any year GT500. My father has an ‘07 and that big lip spoiler seems to favorably change the dimensions of the car. It’s hard to explain but it affects the proportions of the body. That said, any way to de-plastic a hot rod is a win, IMO.

RTR aluminum deck lid spoiler...available again?!

The images from yesterday are all super dark but this one captures a glimpse of one aspect that I like the most- it’s very thin when viewed edge-on. I may still try to hunt down a spoiler-free Kona Blue trunk lid :)

RTR aluminum deck lid spoiler...available again?!

The RTR spoiler is on my car... Thanks to conflicting obligations, I didn't even get to start the job until yesterday afternoon and it was dark by the time I finished. Trying to photograph a flat black spoiler on a dark blue car at dusk is not an easy task. A couple of observations from the...

    Discouraged 3v owner

The ONLY industry where I get this "we don't want your money" attitude is from shops like this. Why is that? Is business that good? The 3v is totally worth building, IMO, especially if you've bonded with that car. I miss my stock 3v a lot. If ultimate numbers were all we cared about, we...

I couldn't agree more. All kinds of things are automated these days and it's more apparent than ever that an easier life is not necessarily a better life.

    recaro seats

Well done. This is the first positive spin that I've ever heard on that anecdote! Unfortunately, the crude, simple, cheap approach means that in 2017, your civilization still has a manned spaceflight program where the zero G pen civilization pays you for rides. :whymewhyme:

    SVE R350 wheels?

Yeah, those are awesome. I’m personally not ready for 20s but that style/color look great.

    SVE R350 wheels?

Lol...I’m sure you could order a square set...fitting them might have a camber plate installation prerequisite.

    Did i ruin my 5.0?

I’m curious about how/why the upload “failed.” What happened? Did it just spontaneously stop? Is your battery weak by any chance?

RTR aluminum deck lid spoiler...available again?!

Yeah. There was a box to check to delete the spoiler. I have no recollection of the option number but I poured over that configurator for weeks before ordering :p

RTR aluminum deck lid spoiler...available again?!

So love it or hate it, this was evidentially for real. UPS should be dropping it off today. More details forthcoming. One of the things that I love about this spoiler is that it almost disappears when viewed from the side. Being thin and flat black, you can see the intended spoiler-free...

    Huge difference after TPS change

That's very good news... but I totally hear what you mean with the wear of a component like this sensor. Unlike something like shocks that wear gradually, you'd guess that a sensor would either work or it wouldn't. Evidentially, there is another variable at work. In any case, congrats on a...

For whatever it's worth, these modern/performance oriented auto transmissions still rev-match audibly as you brake and it sounds pretty damned aggressive in "sport" mode or whatever. They also do it much faster than you or I could ever dream of.

    SVE R350 wheels?

Is anyone running the GT350R replicas from SVE on their S197? If so, how do you like them? What size tire are you running? Any quality/fitment concerns? LMR is offering a package with 305 rear tires...any concerns there? https://lmr.com/products/mustang-sve-r350-wheels-10-14

Yeah. The insanely quick shifts and additional ratios apparently more than make up for frictional losses. The current gen of performance cars with modern automatics are notably quicker than their manually shifted versions. The Camaro SS, Scatpack, Hellcat being the primary examples. I have a...

    Dyno Numbers!

That's a strong 3v and I bet it drives great. Have you been able to test it out on the road or strip? How are you liking that shifter?

    recaro seats

I agree. I have been keeping an eye out for a set and this is about the going rate for cloth OEM Recaros...just a bit high for me too but they're not going to get any more common and fitting a S197 with S550 '15+ Recaros requires a fair bit of work, IIRC. If you can afford it and the seats...
