Vorshlag "Street Pro" = 9 seconds

Too bad stock Recaros are made from unicorn mane. Ironically I searched high and low for a Premium with leather Recaros since I was tracking the car. Then decided to stop tracking it.

Vorshlag "Street Pro" = 9 seconds

Try street driving with just your thumbs hooked in the wheel, then add a lightly-gripped hand. Try keeping at least one thumb stationary during turns, then re-engage the other thumb, then hand. Like most things (including H-T), it's better to learn on the street where you can play with...

Andy's One Car to do It All

I now have too much in the Mustang to let it go; plus I freaking love this car. With the FR "Boss" side pipes especially. It isn't the most comfortable DD nor does it have the 4 doors I could really use, but again, it's really nice to get out of a hard day at work and hoon home. I've been...

Andy's One Car to do It All

I'm keeping the Stang as a DD and using the Vette as a track car. After VIR my wife and I agreed my DD doesn't need to be tracked. haha, of course. I'll just be faster now. :D

Yeah man, I know. But I found a killer deal on a C5 and will use the fundage for it.

Andy's One Car to do It All

Decided to de-mod my car and will be selling quite a few parts including the coilovers. Shoot me a PM if any of you are interested.

S197 Chassis Coyote Swap Endurance Race Build/Blog

Do you have any pictures of the outside splitter mounts? I'm curious about where they're anchored. It didn't occur to me to ask until you posted the canard thread. :)

S197 Chassis Coyote Swap Endurance Race Build/Blog

From your original thread here. Do you have any more details or pictures of these? The OE twisty setup is a PITA. If not, I can give Greg a call.

Andy's One Car to do It All

Thanks. I have the Bilsteins in the back but haven't added the adjustable-height collars or higher-rate springs; hopefully I can get to that soon, but we're taking the kids to Disney in a few weeks so it'll probably have to wait. Plus I have to install my MaxJax...too many projects, not enough time.

Andy's One Car to do It All

I did all of that work with the inserts removed. They're pretty easy to get out; it's a reverse-threaded 5mm allen on the bottom.

Andy's One Car to do It All

Finished up the front coilover conversions last week. I had the collars welded on to reinforce the swaybar brackets and provide the support I needed. I then masked, beadblasted, and painted them using the Rustoleum Appliance epoxy I've used with much success(!) in the past. I went with black due...

WTB Broken headlight for parts 05-09

I'm not sure if this would work but I have two complete OE lights I'd let go for $50 plus the ride from Charlotte. PM me if you're interested.

Ditto, especially if it has the mods I think it does. I usually pit near the classroom. I'll PM you my cellphone number. -Andy

Andy's One Car to do It All

It's attached to the plastic piece behind the pony. That would be an issue if it were supporting the weight, but it's really only to stabilize it front:back. The aluminum angle provides vertical support. I ruled out Mocal because I didn't want any cast parts; just a personal preference. I picked...

Andy's One Car to do It All

Haha, "Red" according to the measurement function in the cluster. The car is a 13/14 Premium so it has all the apps. Ideally I would have temp readings prior to adding a cooler, but my tolerance for hanging out in Red is low and I had to cut every session by more than half when I ran an event...

Andy's One Car to do It All

Also got the oil cooler mounted using aluminum angle, rivets, and rivnuts: Hit it with some flat black: Lower grille: Upper grille: Overall: I need to take the lines to BMRS to get shortened and modified, add the Mishimoto adapter/thermostat, then add oil. Should be done just in time...

Andy's One Car to do It All

Made some progress on the suspension last week: Made some steel collars to take up the I.D./O.D. difference and give the sleeves a place to rest. Assembled with Vorshlag plates:

    Nt555g2 or make the switch...

Correct. I like to have enough sidewall to be able to lay the wheel down without hitting the rim. My Conti DW 295s were "square" on my 18x10 CF5. I only run the 285 now because I want to get closer to the 27.2" OE diameter. I agree that you probably don't want to run >275 on the 9" wheel. The...

    Bilstein Info

From my build thread: So the plan is to run what I have, develop feedback for improvement, and eventually get a set revalved. Given that Cali is the only place they'll rebuild, I'm hopeful I can simply have them pull stock, revalve, and ship them to me in an effort to avoid at least one leg...

I also heard back from the Bilstein rebuild guy. So the plan is to run what I have, develop feedback for improvement, and eventually get a set revalved.
