Anyone running the Pirelli 305/680/18 cast offs from the PWC Porsches on their Mustang? Looks like a decent size, and they go for pretty cheap in the used market.

So, I'm tearing down my rear end in prep for welding the tubes, welding the relo brackets, etc. I came across these brackets - They back up the rear caliper mounting tabs. Why are they there? Any reason not to delete them? If I need to keep them I'll probably weld them to the tube...
