Boss 302 springs on 2014 GT. Any benefits?

My car has the entire suspension, axle, and brakes swapped from a Boss 302. The wheel hop I get during an autocross happens accelerating from an apex onto a short straight. It isn't heavy because I don't mash the throttle, but it is a limiting factor to how hard I can get onto the throttle...

Boss 302 springs on 2014 GT. Any benefits?

I have the Boss springs and shocks on my 2014. I can't say what changed because I bought it that way, but it rides fine. It's still ass high, but I think it's slightly lower than a stock GT. I also have the 285/255 wheel/tire setup from the Boss. I do get some axle hop autocrossing. I think...

What's the deal on yankee toll roads ?

Daggone yankees expect you to pay their tolls. First time I used my then new car trailer, I pulled it from MD to the garden state pkwy in northern NJ, picked up a car and towed it home. Ughh. You pay 3x tolls with a 2 axle trailer. IIRC it was close to $150 each way.

    rear suspension rattle

If you have something banging around over bumps, replace the sway bar bushings and end-links or end-link bushings first. They're cheap and it's the solution a significant amount of the time. You can just remove the sway to verify it's the problem. They usually look fine. This applies to all...

    under pressure

From what I understand, the high load rated tires are supposed to be inflated to near max pressure. At that pressure is where it has it's load rating. I suppose you could use the drive through water/chalk method, and that ?may? tell you how low you can go. But, it may not. As I mentioned, I...

    Anyone play Instruments here?

I've played drums since the mid '70s when I was around 10 years old. A few years ago I took up bass also. I have quite a bit of equipment with drum sets stacked into various corners of the house. My most used drums are also the least exciting - a Ludwig Breakbeats kit. One bag, easy to haul...

    under pressure

You're probably better off asking this question, or at least searching at ford-trucks.com. I suspect you won't get a straight forward answer there either. I have the same problem with my Diesel Excursion and different load rated tires. I've played around with the pressures on the current set...

    Kirkey Seats

Wouldn't catch me driving anywhere but the track in a set of those. I have one in my race car. Back before I towed it, I would take the seat with me and swap it out when I got to the track. It was reasonable on the street (with race suspension) for about 25 minutes. By an hour in, it...

    OBDLink scan tools

I plan to get AutoEnginuity Ford bundle in the next month or so. It seems to be the default for all the Powerstroke guys and I also have a 7.3 PSD to maintain. I contacted them and it does at least do the brake bleeding stuff on the Mustang, I suspect it does most everything else also. Riff...

Steeda's New S197 Jacking Rails - Now Available (Bolt-in Design)

While I would prefer to have them go further back for a rear jack stand, they are more than sufficient for jacking the whole side of the car. It's waaaay better than without them. You can jack the side of the car up and throw a stand under the front of the rail and another on the rear axle...

Steeda's New S197 Jacking Rails - Now Available (Bolt-in Design)

I used the rails to put the car up and down a couple times this weekend and they work great. They are long enough that you can easily adjust the balance on the jack to make the front or rear a little higher than the other. I put the rear jackstands under the axle, but I'll probably work out a...

Steeda's New S197 Jacking Rails - Now Available (Bolt-in Design)

These things came out just in time for me. I was already hitting up my welding buddies to see how quickly I could make it happen when I saw these.

Steeda's New S197 Jacking Rails - Now Available (Bolt-in Design)

Overall these things are pretty good. They aren't very heavy. I didn't weigh them, but they didn't feel like they were even the 10lbs each as advertised. But, my arms aren't calibrated very well. They were very easy to push into place with one arm while holding the pry bar with the other. I...

Steeda's New S197 Jacking Rails - Now Available (Bolt-in Design)

I picked the perfect day for an install, it's about 35 degrees with 20MPH wind. Once the sun came out I could stay out for more than a few minutes. Couldn't pull into the garage today, so it's in the driveway. Here's the payoff for freezing my butt off today Back to the start of the day...

Steeda's New S197 Jacking Rails - Now Available (Bolt-in Design)

Tracking says mine are coming today. I'll try to get them installed this weekend and shoot some pics. I do have the Boss exhaust, so I'm assuming that doesn't cause me too much trouble.

Q&A on that tool say it needs Win XP. Are you using it on something more modern?

bujeezus. Look on youtube. There are some videos of the 550 versions being installed on 2015+ cars. They basically wind up in the same place. You'll be fine.

Steeda's New S197 Jacking Rails - Now Available (Bolt-in Design)

I decided to take a chance. My calibrated eyeball says there's a good chance it'll fit with the Boss exhaust. If not, some minor grinding will probably do the job.
