Hi Folks, Suddenly I am having trouble dispensing fuel into the tank. The pump thinks the car is full and clicks off. I can eventually fill it, but it's touchy and slow. I suspect the smaller air return tube is at fault. I just wonder if anyone else has repaired this and what I am in for...

There is a simple cheap fix. No glue. Use window screen spline and tool. It's held up over a year through lots of hot days and looks fine. I have posted about it before, but can share details again if anyone needs them. Best wishes

Update: Tried carb cleaner with acetone on the middle stop light. No effect. Will try rubbing compound. Maybe if the replacement LED bulbs are bright enough, I can just leave it. I appreciate all of the suggestions.

I had an intermittent ABS alarm on my '06 GT. I removed the ABS module and re-soldered the heavy solder joints. Has worked like a champ for about 18 months now. I can offer more help if you want to go that route.

I am considering 235/50 -17 tires because I found a good deal and it would effectively lower the gear ratio slightly. Does anyone know of a way to adjust the speedometer to compensate? I know the error will be small, but there is already an error in that direction.

On mine, the whole thing came loose because it started peeling from the top. On a hot day it would be folded in half when I returned to the car. Cured so far. Did you try it?

Yes. It's soft which makes it easier. You might want to stretch it a little as you push it into place.

Simple & cheap solution I have been meaning to post. All you need is window screen spline and the tool to install it. I did mine mid-summer and they are still in place. Press the floppy panel into place and press the spline into the gap at the edge. No cleaning or gluing needed.
