Burned out high speed fan connection

Update: I replaced the fuse today and it seems to turn on when I ground it, both the low and high fan and it's not blowing the fuse. I'm not really sure what to make of this... the fan turns on when the coolant temp reaches 216f, seem high imo. But it seems to be working now. Thank you so much...

40 amp fuse. They're both fused the same way.

Burned out high speed fan connection

So when you ground, you are providing ground on the ground trigger for the relay, right? - correct You've got the large wire there with the puncture hole, that's not where you're grounding, correct? - correct And where is the fuse that blows when you ground the low speed? - between the relay and...

Burned out high speed fan connection

So, as soon as I ground the low-speed fan, it blows the fuse. When I ground the high-speed fan, it turns on fine. I'm guessing there's a short somewhere. The question is where? The pictures of the probe are of the high-speed fan probing.

Burned out high speed fan connection

No, they do not. I tried grounding them to see if the fan activated, and it did not, unfortunately. Do you know when the low and high are supposed to kick in in terms of coolant temps? The car is bone stock. No tune.

Burned out high speed fan connection

Yes, I have a scanner that I've been monitoring. The coolant temp doesn't go past 190F idling with the AC on. There's no grounding unless the AC is turned on, even If I try to ground it. I need to find an interactive wiring diagram because the diagrams I'm using don't show the right graph, or...

Burned out high speed fan connection

So after some testing, the relays seem okay, but the voltage while the car is running seems low? And the only time the circuit grounds is when the AC is on, I tried grounding it, but it did not trigger it to go on. I also scanned the obd and it pulled the codes p0480 and p0481. I cleared the...

Burned out high speed fan connection

I don't have a light but I placed an order for one. Also the new fan came with a resistor.

Burned out high speed fan connection

There's 2 relays. One for low and high since both of mine were burned. And like I said previously, I replaced the fan as that felt very heavy to spin it by hand and I figured the bearing went bad. And it turns on if I put on the ac.

Burned out high speed fan connection

So I finally did mine. And now the fan only turns on when I turn on the AC. It doesn't turn on any other way, and I saw the coolant temp go up to 210f. I also replaced my fan. Any help is appreciated.

    Normal operating noise or abnormal?

Hello everyone, I just bought a 2006 GT Mustang with 128,000 miles, and this car has all the common issue that are widely recognized. Currently I'm trying to figure out if the running noise is normal for this engine. Does anyone know what that sound is indicative of? The serpentine belt is...

Burned out high speed fan connection

I just want to get the right wires correct. The large wires in your picture are green/yellow and green/purple coming from the gray connector? and the green and blue wire coming from the white connector are the ground/trigger wires?
