The 1974 performance car was heavier and much slower than the 1969/1970 Boss 302.

They seem to get heavier with each new model. I get the fact that the cars must include regulations for safety. But the new V-8 cars can go over 3,800 pounds. Why nor use light-weight materials to get it to the <3500 pound range? I'd pay the extra cost.

I agree. The corner weights should also be laser checked for perfect heights on all four corners (they aren't expensive). BTW, Steve, what is the minimum Nasa weight now for a S197? It is interesting. I would have guessed a higher weight with the extra weight on the front.

Hey Dickhead, the owner's manual was printed with the wrong instructions on reseting the oil life setting.

2650 miles. :lol2: It probably triggered the oil change early since the car is 6 months old. I usually change a new car at the first 2500 miles anyway. I'll try going to 5000 on the next change. The new cars have a pan under the oil filter which requires removing before changing the filter...

I figured it out. You have to press the setup botton twice to get the screen that says Oil life set to 100%. Then hit reset.

That didn't work. I have the Shaker 500 system with no Nav. The above must be the Shaker 1000 and/or Nav? I don't have a touchscreen (or settings tab). I pressed the phone button and just deleted all devices in that sector. Maybe this will work?
