Does the S197 share the same bolt pattern as the new S550?

Those are nice pictures of a S197 with newer wheels.

Does the S197 share the same bolt pattern as the new S550?

Very very nice. I'd like to see a picture of your car? To be clear and offer forward tech, the older S197 has the 1/2" stud bolt size? It will need a 1/2" lug nut? The S550 changed to a 14mm stud bolt. It will need a a 14mm lug nut. OK? Yet, the old S197 wheels will match with the same...

Does the S197 share the same bolt pattern as the new S550?

Thanks. I knew the offsets would differ.

    Purchased a 2017 S550 Mustang GT350 5.2L VooDoo

I waited until 1000 miles before going over 4500 Rpm (8200 is the red-line). It pulls hard to 8000 Rpm. No oil use but bought some just in case I need to top it off.

Does the S197 share the same bolt pattern as the new S550?

I asked a company that sells wheels, and he asked what was a S197? Generally, will the larger sizes (in V-8's) swap?

I'd like to see a smaller and lighter Mustang

I agree. I wish that I had my old Fox cars: My first one was a 1984 GT 'vert (great 4-br car). There was a 1989 LX 5.0L: And then the 1991 LX 5.0L car. It was a great car. I then switched to the SN95 cars which include the 1995 Cobra R that I have owned for over 20 years, and it weighs...

I'd like to see a smaller and lighter Mustang

The 1974 performance car was heavier and much slower than the 1969/1970 Boss 302.

I'd like to see a smaller and lighter Mustang

They seem to get heavier with each new model. I get the fact that the cars must include regulations for safety. But the new V-8 cars can go over 3,800 pounds. Why nor use light-weight materials to get it to the <3500 pound range? I'd pay the extra cost.

    Track brake tech primer

I am very impressed that you use a pyrometer to gauge rotor temps. Is it a laser or probe meter (or a data system on board the car)? I've raced RA about eight times (mostly, at the Kohler Challenge). How do you note rotor/pad temps? Do you come in the pits and do a quick measurement? Or do...

    Track brake tech primer

Nice write-up, Dave. I've never experienced brakes that got "too cool" due to brake cooling ducts. I would suggest that this is just as important as good pads, rotors, and brake fluid. I've found that the ducts work well when aimed directly at the caliper (not on the rotor). It requires the...

    2011 sales

There are ten Mustang GTs at my local dealer. http://teamfordmarietta.net/InventorySearch.aspx?p=2 There is a $500 factory rebate. I'd predict that this rebate will grow higher (due to the economy). JMO.

    Corner weighed my car today

I knew AI was power to weight, but I had no idea that a 2700# car w/driver was allowed. I know you've been racing Nasa very successfully since the early days. Can a guy really get a S197 down to 2500#'s before the driver and all of his safety equipment is in the car? That weight is after the...

    Corner weighed my car today

I agree. The corner weights should also be laser checked for perfect heights on all four corners (they aren't expensive). BTW, Steve, what is the minimum Nasa weight now for a S197? It is interesting. I would have guessed a higher weight with the extra weight on the front.

    Reset Oil Change Required message

I did figure it out (see post #9). Did you not read this? And why do to place some of our words in full capitals? I also served my country in a time of war. I commanded the infantrymen, but I don't brag about it. I know who you are (i.g., Lone Star Stangs). Thank you for your service to our...

    Reset Oil Change Required message

2650 miles. :lol2: It probably triggered the oil change early since the car is 6 months old. I usually change a new car at the first 2500 miles anyway. I'll try going to 5000 on the next change. The new cars have a pan under the oil filter which requires removing before changing the filter...

How do I deactivate "vehicle health report"?

That didn't work. I have the Shaker 500 system with no Nav. The above must be the Shaker 1000 and/or Nav? I don't have a touchscreen (or settings tab). I pressed the phone button and just deleted all devices in that sector. Maybe this will work?
