    25 Greatest Mustangs

An old Geezer having a fun memory here. Laughing my ass off as a Charlie's Angels episode had Farrah in her Mustang II "Cobra" chasing and running down a Porsche 911 over a twisty Canyon road. They call it having a willing suspension of disbelief...

    25 Greatest Mustangs

Even lovely Farrah had a problem making the Mustang II look good.

Aren't you a little too old for that car? (Answer)

AND...if you're polite enough to your elders we might let you make it to 30. ;) Just turned 76...have had some puzzled looks, but that's about it.

    Mach-e unveil

When the '19 Bullitt was announced, I read every piece of hype. When the reviews began showing up on youtube and in magazines, I hung on every word, savoring every detail reviewed. All the hype on yet another electric SUV with a Mustang label? Wish they hadn't named it Mustang, wish they'd...

    Transmission swap?

Again, many thanks guys. Still hanging in with the '09 while mulling things over.

    Transmission swap?

More thanks..to '08. This the kind of what it would take info I really appreciate. This is indeed the "hands on" 'Stang guy forum! :)

    Transmission swap?

Thanks guys. Another factor I thought of was that Ford made the Bullitt only with a manual for a reason. A manual trans for those who are "drivers"...who want control over luxury. Probably best to just let somebody else enjoy the car for what it is...a well balanced driver that may not do...

    Transmission swap?

First off, better admit I'm 75 years old, no good at crawling under cars any more. Medical issues. The one concerning this thread is a snapped tendon in my left foot that gave me a "slappy foot" when walking, and makes clutch work very difficult. The car, a stock '09 Bullitt. I'm exploring...

What are you guys running for tires?

Me too...but my 'stang "just a driver" to me...kept stock. I hung up my driving shoes and helmet years ago. 75 years old...know my skills and reflexes have diminished. I live in the swamplands of Oregon, can testify that the Contis handle rain driving quite well. Snow? I just wait for it to...

    3.73s worth it?

I can say the same here...but I don't go to the strip, so couldn't care less about 1/4 or 1/8 mile times. 3.73 works fine for the twisty back roads here. Yet I don't feel like I'm revving the engine to death when doing 80 or so on the interstate. All depends on what you use your car for. Too...

    New to me 2009 Bullitt

Glad I made it here. Not that it'll ever be a high bucks collectable car, but we with '09's are driving a rare Mustang. Info I got from the International Bullitt Club tells me only 626 in Green, 181 in Black. No mods here since I no longer do track days, autocross, or hit the strip. For me...

    Ported Heads and Stock Cams?

Long ago, I was told to think of an engine as an air pump. Increasing the flow of air is good for power. With boost? I'd listen to those who make the blower as far as cams are concerned.

    Colored seat belts anyone?

I'd advise proceeding carefully, if at all. Stock belts are engineered very specifically to handle the forces encountered in an accident...stitching used, hardness of bolts, torque values for the bolts, and more. Everything done to spec. Any way to know that this product would meet these...

    2015 Mustang Photos

The headlight clue...I hope it's not so. Today's rice fad of "angry" headlights is a turn off for me. Gimme round headlights, please...

    heres mine

Know what you mean...Just my taste, but I think the Bullitt is more pleasing to the eye. On the other hand, I'm not much into "huffer" engines. Then there is that money factor...money already lost in depreciation, money mods won't bring back. Car salesmen love to say what a great...

    2012 Boss without matched numbers?

Shouldn't buy any car as an investment. Some will post cars they consider exceptions to this, but such cars are few and far between. Besides, there is the costs of maintaining such a car over the decades, often not factored in. If you want to invest there are better ways...

    2012 Boss without matched numbers?

Probably many of them. The question would be which was the first to be one off? Wouldn't all following that first one also be one off?

Has anybody swapped a Coyote into a '09?

I made just one payment when I bought my Bullitt. It was a big one. Much bigger than anybody would be willing to give me for it. And that's the rub...so, with only 13,000 on it's clock, I guess I'm sort of stuck. Gotta drive my money out of it.

Has anybody swapped a Coyote into a '09?

Probably be cheaper to just buy a Boss 302, I guess. Sounds like it would definitely be simpler...

    heres mine

Yet I wish I'd known the Boss 302 LS was coming before buying a new Bullitt. Guess it's human nature to never be satisfied...

    My Mustang seems popular.

Definitely one of those "If you have to ask the price you can't afford it" cars. Sure is uber cool though...thanks for sharing!

    Best Battery Charger

I think that's really the key...making sure the one you choose works on lead acid, gel types, and AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) batteries. Seems there is quite a line up of choices these days.

Has anybody swapped a Coyote into a '09?

I keep thinking there must be some Boss 302 engines with forged internals hitting the wrecked-em yards by now. But, how about gauges and other electronics in our older cars?

    Best Battery Charger

They wanted me to pay them as well as pay to send the bad unit to them. I forget how much, but it added up enough to be "forget it" territory for me. The pulse tech does the job faster, and I like the pulsing technology that cleans the plates. I also like it's "bad battery" light. That's what...

    Best Battery Charger

After my battery tender failed, I went to one of these. So far, I really like it. If it ever fails, I'll probably go with the $200 Optima unit. The pulse-tech has a five year warranty, so I figure it's pretty well made...
