    any one running a honda rod journal? i have an eagle stroker crank, with forged rods. im trying to figure out what rod bearing clearances i should be running with 5w-30 oil. i was told .0020-.0030, that seems a bit large to me. any insight would be helpful.

    i agree with you on this. i ordered 1 thousands over bearings. gonna try to get all the clearances below .0019 but above .0015.

    the phasers and the rest of the system are what im worried about. im going to be running a forged pump so im not worried about that...its just suck horribly if the phasers didnt work with the heavier oil.

    do i need to check piston to valve?

    i'll prolly do this. id love to put a dial gauge on the valve tip and push it in to see what i got but not sure id get a accurate reading. been told the pistons and valves come closest at 10 degrees before and after TDC. funny you mention locked followers....thats what killed my stock...

    well this is both embarassing and frustrating. checked compression on cylinders 1 and 5......got nothing at all. going to leak test it thuresday after i get the stuff i need tonight. i dont know where it could be getting out but its going some where.

    checked everything. compression is defintly low. all it could be. verified spark, and fuel. going to put some oil in the cylinders to try to get the compression high enough to start. going to test it with a compression tester.

    no anti theft light. it does its start up dance when you turn the key to auxillary then doesn't come back on at all. not sure what to make of that.
