    2005 Gt Rallycross build

:boobies::boobies::boobies::boobies::boobies::boobies::boobies: I haven't had a mustang in almost two years and I am so glad I stop by this place every now and then. That thing is tits. This makes me want to build one and my closest rally is 3.5 hrs away.

GT350 YouTube Video at 185 mph yields Arrest

This was a cavalcade of shit. This dude was getting over 180 and spending a lot of time over 140. Way to much could have possibly gone wrong. I have done some crazy driving myself so I shouldn't throw the first stone, but I'm still gonna say it, take it to a track. Then not only did he...

Where can I find taller springs

I would put the tires on and then figure out how much lift you need. People put huge wheels on these things so you might be safer than you think. If you need lift having a machine shop make you strut blocks for the front and spacers for the rear is probably going to be it. If you are doing...

    2005 Gt Rallycross build

Also the shape of the back of the wheel face is important because the calipers stick out well past the wheel mounting surface. If that isint a fit you need spacers, then you need longer lugs. Then depending on your wheel width and backspacing you may need to relocate the rear sway bar. Then...

    2005 Gt Rallycross build

After reading this yesterday I looked into rally racing and I would have to drive +3 hrs for a rally. I would love to build a car and just send the shit out of it but not when I only got 3 events/yr over 3 hrs away.

    2005 Gt Rallycross build

with the S197 sometimes it just not worth it to force the 15in. You can do a 17in, have ample sidewall, and not have to make all sorts of exceptions to get the wheels over the brakes. I wouldn't go light truck, I would go A/T. Right now I have Pirelli Scorpion ATR (275/65r18) on my envoy...

Best cold air intake for overall peak gains. 4.6 V8

I totally forgot about that problem. After a couple of times of that happening to me I just stopped using the ebrake. The car never rolled away. i don't think there is a fix for that.

Best cold air intake for overall peak gains. 4.6 V8

I used to micro analyze the differences between intakes. Its relatively easy to design an intake and the manufacturers want you to talk all about it excessively. If I ever get another 3v I am using the stock intake and TB until they cannot be used any more.

    The $25.00 Oil Catch Can

Looks good. If you want that can to work even better move it away from the engine. A cooler catch can will condense more oil. I did a ton of research into making my own catch can a year ago. I was gonna get a liquor flask, stick 2 fittings on the top, and on the can intake side have a tube...

So Im dumb and have let my car sit too long

I've let cars sit before, and I have bought cars that were sitting before I found them. Like said above, see if it will start and run first, and if your tune isin't trash take it for a stroll around the block. If it runs, even if it runs weak, top off the tank with fresh gas. Its counter...

    3.73s worth it?

My car came with 3.55s and I went 3.73. I felt a little extra push, but really for doing road trips I could have saved my money and left the 3.55s in. I do think I made out on road trips and daily driving with the 3.73 compared to 4.10s, but on the track your gonna wish you had 4.10s. If I...

    Techco blower

If you are just looking for what a basic eaton will do to a 3v and like being different I say go for it. If you ever want more cowbell your going to have to take the whole thing off and replace with a different system though. Only lived for a few years and got sued into oblivion a decade ago...

    Target Nitrous AFR

N/a afrs are good for nitrous. I could see tuning rich if your trying to make up for some other issue like inadequate octane for goals, not enough control over spark tables, choked out exhaust, etc.

    Building/buying our first house!

man I want an outdoor kitchen so bad. I think an outdoor kitchen in a covered patio that leads to a pool would be amazing. my house is done btw, and we are at the point with the move that I know where 90% of my stuff is. I want to make my own thread but its been all systems go since my last...

    Building/buying our first house!

Big congratulations from here man. I am about to buy a house myself. Hopefully we are closing on the 25th. Its the reason why I sold my mustang 6mo ago and have been driving a 12yr old SUV for the last year. So I totally understand the effort, sacrifice, and years of good decision making...

    California emissions and long tubes

Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle. PZEV. Basically they are charging extra to put the california engine in the car. Its not a device, its a special cat, injectors, intake, and tuning package.

    California emissions and long tubes

I am at the end of working as a security guard for the last 4 years. That guy is a toadstool. I would have laughed at him myself. 95% of the time its seriously counterproductive to be a hardass. I save the tough guy stuff for very select scenarios. I think I have gotten tough with somebody...

    California emissions and long tubes

This. In MD if you don't have a light on your dash go the the state facility. Even if they looked at the mirror they don't know what they are looking at. They make $10/hr and aren't qualified to judge anything. If you go to a shop they will actually inspect you because they want to keep...

    California emissions and long tubes

I live in MD and went through emissions 3 times on full length headers and a O/R prochamber. My tuner modified the rear O2s so they just read the situation as normal. Drove in one side of the emissions center and right out the other "lumpity lumpity lumpity lump lump lump lump grrrrrRRRRRR...

I'd like to see a smaller and lighter Mustang

This would also help with people bitching about how the fit and finish of a $35k mustang is inferior to a $80k+ Audi/BMW/Mercedes Benz.

I'd like to see a smaller and lighter Mustang

But the AWD chally can only be had with the v6. Kind of a dumb move IMO. When they started advertising it as the first AWD muscle car I think everyone was looking for the HEMI engine. I don't think the mustang has shared a chassis since 1988. And I know I said it recently, but building a...

I need tires, need some good options

For a v6 on stock rims you can get under $100 per tire. Your in a range of not-so-great tires but it can be done. Unless you specify you have a v6 most people on here think you have a GT at least.

I need tires, need some good options

Your really not going to get much of anything for $100 per tire. I don't think you can get nitto 555 that low. Get a credit card just for tires and repairs, then get tires a little more appropriate for the car. Outside of serious racing I usually reccomend Michelin, Pirelli, and continental...

I'd like to see a smaller and lighter Mustang

Its making it safe and stuff for NVH that makes it heavy. 10 years ago I had a base model 2dr manual everything ecotec powered chevy cavalier for a project car. it weighed about 2400lb also. It was fun, and it had scoot to it, and people not believing what they saw were always trying to find...
