Is my starter bad? Battery has 13V & it only clicks...

My positive cable looks mint but the negative has gotten the blue corrosion on it that I clean periodically. I'll see if I can find a replacement for that when I toss a new battery in

Is my starter bad? Battery has 13V & it only clicks...

Stock headers I took delivery in August of 2006 so 11 years running on the battery! Been through at least 10 different wheel/tire set-ups and muffler configs in that time though...

Is my starter bad? Battery has 13V & it only clicks...

Thanks fellow Chicagoan. I'll do some testing with the voltmeter. I'm actually on the original battery. Never had an issue with it even in the dead of winter and never slow cranking or any other signs. Figured it was something else given that it would not start one minute then all of a...

Is my starter bad? Battery has 13V & it only clicks...

Car is a 2006 GT - I'm the original owner and it has 60K miles. Only a few parts on it - shifter, 4.10 gears, tune, suspension, brembos, etc. A few months back I'm leaving work and the car randomly won't start. Just hear click..click..click. I waited a few seconds, tried again and then it...

    Introducing April, my 2003 Porsche 911 (996.2)

I have one of those as well - an 02 with a few fun parts. I don't think my IMS has been touched but no metal in oil at 100K miles. I'm 36 with two other mustangs and my wife has a van and I pay about $100/month for full coverage on the Porsche. Just put some 997 S "Lobster Claw" wheels on it:

WTB - OEM 2008 Bullitt wheels

Those would not be OEM then. Either way, this thread should probably be closed as I don't really want to run spacers. My fault!!

WTB - OEM 2008 Bullitt wheels

The 08-09 Bullitt wheels are a dark gray color, not quite black. So those are different wheels. Just saw the CJ link - those are them! I've powder-coated a few sets of wheels over the years (or had it done) and I'm open to that. Figured I'd try for a set of them first and see what I find. My...

WTB - OEM 2008 Bullitt wheels

Hey all, I'm looking to change up my wheel/tire look and always liked the dark gray look of the OEM 08 Bullitt wheel. They are the same dimensionally as the 18" x 8.5" polished bullitts that came on 06-09s. Let me know if anyone has any available.

What's the best way to upgrade 05+ headlights?

Thanks for the input guys. I grabbed a set of Slyvania Silverstar Ultra bulbs on EBay and we will see if that helps. The original bulbs are in there now so I bet I notice a difference. The Yutes kits look amazing but I'll see how far my $22 "upgrade" bulbs goes before diving into that. Now to...

What's the best way to upgrade 05+ headlights?

I've had my 06 GT since new. My eyes aren't as good as they used to be and after long days at work I'm left wanting more out of my headlights. I had a 2003 Nissan Maxima before my GT that had Xenons from the factory that worked great. What is the best method to upgrade the factory lights...

    AM Wheels - why same offset/backspacing for 99-04 & 05-up?

I bought a set of 10th anniversary style 18x9s for an 05+ from you guys a bit ago. I jumped back on the site because I was curious what the offset and backspacing are - trying to dial in optimal stance and tire fender orientation. So I jump on the AM site and see for these wheels 30mm offset...

2012 GT500 steering wheel swap, have searched A LOT

I went and did the basic install of a '12 GT wheel in my '06 GT. Was not attempting to do the radio controls just cruise and the horn. Love the wheel, cruise works fine, but the button lights don't come on when I turn on the headlights. Any idea which of the 4 wires control the lights...

Odd brake issue - fading spongy pedal with hot weather..

I already have the motive bleeder and love the thing, so easy to use. The hardest part is finding plastic tubing that fits over the bleeders! On the ATE super blue stuff; is that okay on a daily driver? I may even drive it this winter so I want to be sure it's okay for every day street use...

Odd brake issue - fading spongy pedal with hot weather..

Sounds good, thanks guys. I will do a full bleed when I swap on the Brembos. Just need to get that Motive attachment that fits our cars!

Odd brake issue - fading spongy pedal with hot weather..

All, this issue has recently resurfaced after I originally noticed it last summer. It only seems to be an issue after the engine/brakes are warmed up and the outside temp is 80 degrees or higher. First off, the braking performance is fine. No noises or issues, no warning lights and I still...

It was a long cold winter, so I'm just getting back in the loop Any photos of the 18's on an 05-09? I'm thinking of running 18x9's with 275/40/18s on all four corners.

    gear shifter slop

I spoke to George about it a few years back and he's seen the video. He said the slop is in the trans itself. To test his theory, I got under the car and wiggled the shifter while in gear from underneath. The play was present all the way to the trans. So it was not gaining any slop through...

    gear shifter slop

That may be true but mine was very tight when new and stayed that way until maybe 20K miles and 4 years of ownership.
