That brings up a great point. What infrared reader to you have? That would be the best way to see how the tire is performing...

    falken 615 tire pressure

Hello all... I need a recommendation please. Recently picked up a set of 295/40-18 Falken 615+ for autocross. It's been a while since I've run a decent sticky tire. I'm looking for air pressure recommendations. In the past, I've generally run in the 36# range, but that was on a stock all...

    smell gas after lowering tank

resurrecting my old thread. As for my original issue, it just sorta went away and I didn't have any more issues. Odd... My new issue is persistent. When I fill up the car, I can smell gas on the drivers side rear of the car. I've gone under the car and can see no leaks. Based on some...

    WTB Tokico D-Spec struts

I've blown my front drivers side Tokico D-spec strut, so I'm looking for a replacement. I'll buy either the front driver, both front or the entire setup. If you have or know of anyone with a set for sale that's in good working order, please let me know. I'm ok with either new or used.

    running hot

Not sure if this will help, but I had a similar issue a few months ago. I'm running a VDO temp gauge that taps directly into the block, so the temp reading is fairly accurate. Sitting in traffic, I watched my VDO gauge creep up to 230 and I started to get concerned and looking for a place to...

    Battery voltage/circuit question

So I monkeyed around w/ the multimeter and fuses yesterday. I pulled the radio out to access the wiring and put the meter onto the neg post and neg cable. I watched the meter cycle through .7a and .3a in a pattern of 8 secs @ .7a and 4 secs @ .3a. This went on for about 15 minutes. I...

    Battery voltage/circuit question

turns out fuse #56 for the radio is one of the culprits. Pulled the fuse and the amps went from 0.36 to 0.1. I can live w/ that. Now I just have to figure out what's grounding on the radio I just installed. Next week... too many other things to do right now...

    Battery voltage/circuit question

With my meter set on 10A reading, I'm seeing 0.36a worth of draw over the neg cable to neg bat post. I'm thinking that's pretty minimal on a car full of electronics. Just curious if anyone else has metered their current draw on the car when it's completely turned off. Is a 0.36a draw normal?

    Reverse Lights Wont Turn Off

Just food for thought. Check and make sure none of the running and brake lights are out. I mention this because when I hooked up my tire trailer, the lights came on instantly. Couldn't figure out why until I found a blown bulb. Replaced the bulb and the trailers lights functioned normally...

    Battery voltage/circuit question

I'm in the process of trying to chase down a possible parasitic voltage drain on my 08 bullitt. I recently replaced the head unit w/ one of the Raxiom units from AM. Also replaced the battery AND moved some after market gauges. I was going to used a mulitmeter on the battery and then start...

Cooling Fan High Speed Relay BEC melted

well, of all things.... I had a hand held tuner I bought used w/ the car. Someone on another forum suggested just trying it just to test. Installed a 89 tune and set the low fan speed to 180. I'll be damned if it doesn't work. The stock tune will not turn on the fan, the custom tune will...

Cooling Fan High Speed Relay BEC melted

OK, I'm about to close in on this freaking problem. Took the mustang over to my trusted BMW mechanic and had him hook the car up to his computer and he also looked at AllData. So, here's what we did. > putting the volt meter on terminal 85 w/ the relay in showed 12v on the meter. > hard...

Cooling Fan High Speed Relay BEC melted

based on some additional advice, I removed the low speed relay and then tested voltage to terminal 86 on the fuse box. I did see 12v via the volt meter on 86. My other sources are telling me if I receive power at 86 and if jumping 30/87 gets me power at the fan connection, then I have issue w/...

Cooling Fan High Speed Relay BEC melted

Taking the advice that I could short the 30/87 posts, I have some updated news. When I shorted the 30/87 terminals on the low speed relay, success! I had power at the fan connection. When I shorted the 30/87 terminals on the PCM relay, I had some interesting clicking, no voltage at the fan...

Cooling Fan High Speed Relay BEC melted

Would someone who's done the rewire mod please post up how and what you did in regard to routing the new circuit? I'd greatly appreciate the information. I need to get my mustang back on the road asap. I have an autox this weekend and I'd rather not miss it, but I don't want to drive it w/...

Cooling Fan High Speed Relay BEC melted

I don't think testing another fan would do any good. I hooked a battery tender to the fan when it was out of the car and tested the high and low speeds, both worked fine. I'm simply not getting any voltage at the fan connection point even w/ the fan switch connector shorted to complete the...

Cooling Fan High Speed Relay BEC melted

Catching up on this.... yes, I've disassembled the fuse block and there is no evidence of any over heating, no melted posts, nothing I can find. So getting up to date, I've removed the intake manifold for a 2nd time and looked at the fan switch pigtail and checked it for continuity...

Cooling Fan High Speed Relay BEC melted

@ sportn and mitch. Thanks for the reply, but as noted in my previous post I have no burned, melted or bad areas in the fuse box. I have no burned wires going the fan. To further complicate this issue, I tested the fan motor w/ a 12v source. Damn....both speeds work. There are NO melt or...

Cooling Fan High Speed Relay BEC melted

I've looked at several threads and this best describes my issue. To base line the car, I have a '08 bullitt, v8 w/ no motor mods or exhaust mods except for replacement mufflers. ~77k on the odo. So what I have is.... > AC on kicks on the low speed fan and runs the temp at ~190 constantly...

    QA1 Rear Springs 14-150

I purchased a set of Vogtland springs at the first of last year. While I like the springs, not satisfied w/ the way the rear end sits. Vogtland states the drop is 1.2" and the rate is 120-220lb. Do you have any rear springs w/ a drop of say 1.5-1.6" w/ comparable spring rate? The ford K...

If you have your stock GT upper control arm lying around and not being used since you upgraded your suspension, I have a new home for it. I just need the stock arm and not the upper bracket. Contact me please if you have one you'd like to sell. I need this for my '08 bullitt. ~Rodney

    smell gas after lowering tank

Just got though installing some dynamat type insulation under the back seat to put the extra noise in check after the poly bushing install. I checked the rubber seals and those are in place. Plenty of slack in the wiring to allow for the drop.
