First time to track with Roush TVS

A little sway on the big end but it's not too bad. I was actually pretty nervous about the high end sway that happens when mixing radial fronts with bias ply rears but it's very slight and happens so quickly I didn't even think about it until the pass was over.

First time to track with Roush TVS

I think so too. I did encounter wheel spin on a few passes but my launches were far from smooth. I was thinking a little less pressure and a little more practice.

First time to track with Roush TVS

Made it to the dragstrip last Wednesday and ran my car for the first time with the TVS. Also should mention it was my first time on a bias ply slick! Got 5 runs in: 11.7@120 13.1@88 missed a gear 11.4@121 best run 11.5@126 11.5@124 Overall I'm pretty happy with the times for my first time out...

Help me build a coyote with $2,500

Balanced rotating assembly and billet oil pump gears from Livernois should come in under $2500. That's the route I'm going to eventually.

NHRA 6 Point Roll Bar info requested

I was looking at these RPM Roll bars. They're pricey but they come painted, welded and 100% bolt in. This will probably be the route I go when the time comes. http://rpmrollbar.com/

    28x4.5x17 M&H Racemaster

Awesome. Thanks guys. I was pretty sure they'd fit when I ordered them but when my parts guy rolled them out to me and I was kinda second guessing cause they look BIG. When the wheels come and I trial fit them I'll update this thread for reference sake.

    28x4.5x17 M&H Racemaster

So I've already ordered these for my 17x4.5 Race Stars and just wanted to double check and see if any one was having any fitment issues with these on a lowered car? I know it's a little too late to ask.

    20x10 am wheels

Wondering the same thing myself. They list the offset at +48 which I think would be ok but I'm no expert.
  11. sean858

Can you check my wheel alignment for me and verify everything is ok?

The tech might have just been lazy calibrating the rear heads for the alignment machine knowing there's no adjustment. Which would give screwy numbers.

Should I track my Mustang or...(long)

Thanks for your input Dave, you know I value it. The Civic is surprisingly mechanically solid considering the mileage. I've been daily driving it since I picked it up intentionally beating it pretty hard to see what'll break. So far so good. It was in a pretty major front end hit at some point...

Should I track my Mustang or...(long)

I was pretty close to buying a Miata actually but that would put me at 3 cars and I'm not sure I'm up to that when I have a solid track rat sitting here as it is.

Should I track my Mustang or...(long)

First off I know this isn't tech but I figured I'd get better opinions on my situation in this sub-forum. My longish story made kind of short: I started doing HPDE in 2008 and I was hooked. I had a Mazdaspeed3 that saw all but two of the road courses NASA Midwest goes to. In 2010 I bought my...

Calling all Supercharged 5.0, whats your fuel mileage

I'm pulling in around 16mpg doing nothing but stop and go city driving. Car made 550/478. The 3.73 gear really kills the mileage and it's only worse with the blower. I was doing 17.5mpg before the blower.

    Madden 13

I'm having the same issue getting picked off like crazy but this is the first Madden I've bought since 10 so there's a bit of rust. I'm ok with the career mode but I was one of this weirdos who just liked playing the regular season mode and doesn't play online much. The physics engine I actually...

    VMP Tuning

It can take a while. They get pretty backed up over there. I'd give it a week then I'd call.

    Winter stangs???

I've driven my 5.0 for two winters now and it's been fine. I have Bridgestone Blizzaks and except for the one blizzard we had a year or two ago it's almost like there's no snow on the ground with the Blizzaks. Now that I have the Roush TVS installed I'm considering getting a winter beater but...

    My TVS dyno results (5.0)

This is the Roush tuner kit which comes with a 90mm pulley and no tune. I got the 82mm pulley and tune from VMP whom I also ordered the Roush tuner kit from.

    My TVS dyno results (5.0)

Haha yeah. It's pretty absurd. First and second are useless. Third is semi usable. Fourth and up is solid. I couldn't believe I had at least 400lb/ft of torque at the wheels from 2000-7000 RPM. Fun stuff just can't try to take anyone from a dig.

    bama or vmp

I have a VMP tune and the drivability is OK but the power is good. I have no real complaints with the VMP tune but they are absurdly hard to get ahold of and the customer service is lacking. I understand Justin is essentially a one man show but he needs some sort of system so people know...
