QA1 single adjust vs double adjust

IMO - double adjustables are only needed for a full blown race car that is having hooking issues at the track due to tire size restrictions in their class.

New Engine....scored cylinder walls, need diagnosis help

I just copied this from the other post I posted in but it's relevant here too IMO to be clear. I'm not saying you 'can't' run big power from a big single set-up - I'm just saying it involves other considerations…

    Another built 3v issue..

lol. I know. The trouble is guys look at the guys like Vinny Barber, GT RO, Geostang, etc. and think a big turbo is the way to go cause these guys are on top of the ET leader boards, but ALL of these guys have built SEVERAL motors in their journey and their eventual motors were complete billet...

    Another built 3v issue..

The best advice I can give is to look at any impressive actual race car with a similar style motor (CI wise) and then ask them what their compression is. I bet dollars to donuts you will find they are not running 11:1 on a less than 350 CI motor with big FI. The 'secret' is to make...

New Engine....scored cylinder walls, need diagnosis help

Not that the turbo had anything to do with your unfortunate incident (sorry BTW) - but just in general - if you rebuild in the future, please shy away from a big single turbo. Your forcing your motor to work just too hard. No amount of tuning (despite what the vendors will tell you) can...

    Another built 3v issue..

Take this any way you want, but if you are going to rebuild for the future, you should not be building any FI setup for more than 10 psi on an 11:1 motor IMO. A monster $20K motor - I would not run more than 10.5:1 and for the average good $10K motor, I would not go above 10:1, and would...

What is the best version or year 5.0 ?

Ditto Jeremy. I have been looking into a new build and my hesitation has been the block options in general. I personally don't think any of them are factory ready for 'big' power. Having said that, a 700 rwhp goal seems easy enough Ron, since you already got the F150 block, my advice would be...

If wanting to stay with a SBF - then I agree 100% - still think a BB is a much better alternative for him for what he wants.

Ed - Ken told me about your accident and I was following you on FB. So glad you were okay - I know how scary it can be :chairfall: Best of luck to you but I personally believe rebuilding a 3V is a mistake. Once you've achieved a certain 'ET' - then it is very difficult to 'go backwards' so...

2006 Mustand GT Saleen Supercharger - VERY LOW MILES

Trouble is you are asking over retail for your car. It is very nice - GL but I can't see you getting over 16K for it. bolt-on Mods just don't have any resale - sell the mods and then sell the car to car max and you'll get about what you're asking - just have to do some work for it...:thumb:

05 Mustang GT, Procharger, TR6060, Etc.

What sucks is 05's are going for 15-17K retail at dealers right now and bolt-on mods don't add resale value for crap - not a good world to sell a used car in right now but it is a nice car and GLWS - me thinks you would have to be in the 15K range to move it.

2007 BEST ET MPH to date! 8's drive it to the track, shows, dinner!

Yeah - I noticed that too...lol :asshat: it all sounds good - but until you produce a video of the car running an 8 sec pass - it never happened...:handjob:

Haven't been around - major accident

At first - just looked like we had to cut the frame at the firewall and just rebuild the front end but closer inspection showed the main beam behind the firewall pretty bent as well. It could be fixed, but I wouldn't trust my life in it afterwards. Needs a new chassis to be a 100% RIP Big Papa

Thanks guys. The divorce is nasty but I'm a pretty savvy guy if I do say so myself - I'm representing myself and I have already finished the tough custody shit and I have full custody of my daughter and she just gets every other weekend supervised visitation... :beerchug2: We are just going...

Haven't been around - major accident

Haven't been around for awhile (sorry guys) but been recovering from a head on collision at 70 mph :asshat: Head on at 70 - I was just flying through the desert and a trophy truck flew over a hill and past me at 100+ and put up a major dust bowl - couldn't see 2" in front of me and then a...
