    Rearend whirring noise

Yep, I have it too. Became instantly noticeable as soon as I installed LCAs with poly bushings. It's annoying but driving around with the windows down most of the time you can't hear it. Only when you put the windows up with the radio off. I don't think it's a pinion angle issue either. My...

Something New with the MT82- Not good news

Similar thing happened to me after my first trip to the track. Only I wasn't having it act like it was in neutral when it was in 2nd, it just really didn't want to go into 2nd after my first couple runs. Made me miss 2nd on 3 consecutive runs and then it just started working again. Been fine...

    Comparison of different power adders

You're also talking about 1/3 of the power of the Hellion kit. It's a whole lot easier to manage 200wtq that hits all at once than 650wtq. I love turbo cars, but I plan on a PD blower when it comes time to get a power adder for my Mustang.

Car feels unstable when shifting at WOT

Mine wobbles between shifts even with upgraded LCAs and UCA.

    2011 Roush 5XR Mustang Testing @ BBR

The torque numbers are surprising considering they advertise 465 ft-lb at the crank stock.

    Gears?

But the point isn't that the 4-5 shift takes a millisecond longer than the 3-4 shift. The point is that you gain enough acceleration 1st-4th that losing a few milliseconds having to shift into 5th is worth it. For me right now at my altitude, the 4.10s are perfect as I get all the benefits of...

Anyone notice Trac Control Problems when rear tires taller than front?

Uh, he did say what his message center says when he presses the button. Before you call someone out on reading comprehension, you should probably read the whole thread yourself. For reference, when I press the button once, it says "Traction Control Disabled." If I press twice with the brake...

    Bad Vibration 65mph+

Yea lining up the stock LCA to the new LCA the holes are exactly the same distance apart so it shouldn't affect the pinion angle.

    Bad Vibration 65mph+

I have a pretty good vibration also after installing LCAs with stock driveshaft. I have not put the relocation brackets on yet. My vibration does not happen until about 85mph though. As soon as I get my replacement relocation brackets in (they originally sent me two driver's side brackets) I...

Jalopnik Article on Faulty Manual 5.0 Transmissions

My MT82 has been fine so far. I get a small amount of grinding if I try to shift fast into 5th gear before the transmission is warm, but once it warms up I can shift into 5th as fast as I want.

Need an Oil Seperator on the new 5.0? YEP!!

Caught about a teaspoon in 750 miles. Will check it again at my next oil change in 5,000 miles.

The "how much it weighs" thread

The Flowmaster Hushpower axle-backs claim to be 18 lbs lighter than stock, which would put them at 25lbs total.

    GT500 Strut Mount

Is that 89.88 per mount? If so, I don't think it matters that they are in stock, lol. I'd wait a month to save $180.

    Any Kenne Bell cars?

Yea but if you're looking at Kenne Bells, you're probably not wanting a centrifugal setup. Their competition is really the Whipple and TVS kits. If I was only going to drive my car at the track, I'd look into a centrifugal supercharger, but on the street I want a roots style blower.

    Another Boss Intake install

Now I'm itching to get one of these. My rpms are higher in general now that I put 4.10s in so I don't think it would be that big of a stretch for me to keep it above 6k where this intake really shines.

Boss intake dyno numbers and discussion

At first I wasn't going to get the Boss intake, but now with the 4.10s the revs are generally higher anyway so the Boss intake might go very well with my setup. Hmm... Anxious to see beefcake's numbers on boost with the Boss too.

Need an Oil Seperator on the new 5.0? YEP!!

Installed mine last night in about 2 minutes. Easiest install I've ever had. Well worth the extra money to have it be so easy to install, and it looks good too.

    Gasoline vs E85 in the 2011 5.0

The advantage of E85 is that with its higher detonation threshold you can run much more aggressive timing without knock and therefore make more power. This applies whether N/A or boosted. I'm interested to see the long term effects of some of the people who are running E85 already.

    stock 5.0 real rpm line

The dyno sheets I'm seeing with the Boss intake say differently.

    O/R Xpipe Power loss????

It's definitely your problem. You're trying to run a tune designed for an unrestricted intake and x-pipe when you have the restrictor still in and no x-pipe. The car doesn't know how to behave because the wrong parts are on the car as far as the tune is concerned.
  22. E

    O/R Xpipe Power loss????

Yes, the problem is that your tune includes parameter adjustments for a mod you don't have yet: the x-pipe. As previously stated, you should flash the tune back to stock and put in the restrictor in the Airaid intake until you get the x-pipe installed. The car will not run right if you are...

Need an Oil Seperator on the new 5.0? YEP!!

Just ordered the black version also. I, too, have ghetto rigged catch cans on past cars from Home Depot parts, but the fact that it looks OEM and is completely plug and play makes it worth the cost to me.

    Oil Pressure = dummy light?

The problem is if the gauge moves too much, people who don't know anything about cars will bring the car to the dealer thinking something is wrong. The first couple years of Miatas have very responsive and accurate oil pressure gauges, so when you have a high load on the engine at high rpm the...

    Broken MT82 PICS..

I will hit 2k miles today and have driven it hard since I drove it off the lot. No trans issues so far with the MT82.
