2005 Driver Seat Track.

Seat track went out on driver's side, went through the usual routine to figure out what was wrong. Looks like there are some roller bearings in the track. Became dislodged and caused the track to bind up. Try to use a pick to put them back in but was unable.

Looked for new track could not find one, ended up getting one out of salvage yard.

Here is my question. I could find new oem tracks for 07-10 S197, but the part number shows it does not fit 05-06. From the pictures they look identical, however could not see the connector plugs close.

Anyone have thoughts if they would be plug and play into my 05. Thinking about buying one and throw on the shelf of garage as a spare.

This winter going to see what it would really take to disassemble the old "unserviceable" track and try to repair it.

I had my motor on my 05 driver seat replaced with a junkyard s-197 and pretty sure it wasn't a 05 and it worked just fine.
