2005 Mustang MSD8913 Dis-Tach Driver. Anybody have one working?

I have a 2005 Mustang with an MSD 8913 Dis-Tach Driver spliced into the #8 coil positive wire, and not getting a signal. Sooo, either I am doing something wrong (most likely), or the MSD Dis-Tach does not work. Need help.

The positive wire is not an rpm signal, its switched 12v.
The ground is what gives you an RPM signal.

Exactly what juice said. The positive side of the coil is hot all the time when the engine is running. The negative side pulses and will provide a signal for your accessories.

AutoMeter created a step by step how to video on how to locate the wires that is awesome. This works for MSD 8913 Tach Adaptor as well. See link below:
