Hi everyone! My name's Jeremiah and I just bought my dad's BONE STOCK manual 2006 GT (I'm pretty stoked to get my hands on an unmolested project)! She's got 130,000 on the clock and besides the normal service related stuff is completely stock! The only issue with her is some FEDEX boxtruck bodywork that needs to be repaired; she drives fine as it's all cosmetic but it isn't pretty! I already have some big plans for her. First off I have to drive her cross country to my future home in Bend, OR then I'll start modding for speed and cornering!

Hey Jeremiah, just saw this. That's a pretty good hit that car took, and not in a good place either. That is a part of the unibody and very difficult and costly to repair properly. Hopefully you get everything figured out on it!

Yeah, it's already been appraised at $6,800 just to repair the quarterpanel and door! Calling my insurance tomorrow and if they haven't heard anything I'm calling Fedex and letting them know I'll start legal proceedings if it's not fixed. This whole situation has gotten ridiculous! Luckily she drives just fine.

Good to hear. I just bought a second car today with similar damage, but the insurance quote was around $3800. Debating on having it fixed and keeping it, or parting the entire thing out. Shoot me a text when you find out more info from insurance about that.

I'm hoping that FEDEX pulls their heads out their asses and just fixes my car (although I'd be perfectly fine with a check instead and I'll fix it myself)! As things have been going I don't see that happening though. I'll keep y'all up-to-date. :cheersman:

Dustin: thanks for the welcome!

So maybe FEDEX doesn't suck so bad! Got a phone call from one of their insurance adjusters today and had a long talk. He said to contact him as soon as I made my move and he'd set up for someone to come and appraise the damage in OR. He said there's a possibility of only getting 80% but that he'd most likely be suggesting they pay 100% (I get the feeling they believe me over their seasonal contract worker)! I'm not holding my breath but after 2 months of limbo I'm happy to have the ball rolling! :ehcapt:
