CEL came on two weeks ago with the above codes displayed. Mustang is bone stock. 62K miles. Had the dealer reflash the stock tune just to ensure nothing else was the culprit. Had them zero out the codes. CEL came back. When I start it cold under 50F, the engine idles fine for 5-7 seconds, then runs rough and coughs for perhaps 3-5 seconds, before smoothing out. Under 20F when starting, it coughs and sputters as if it's missing on a cylinder or 2. Once it starts to warm up, it runs fine. Plugs and oil are fresh. Thoughts?
Update...after talking with some other people, I tried a technique of cranking the engine over and waiting until the oil pressure light goes out and then letting the engine start. It works! Temporary fix for now obviously but it keeps the CEL off.
And another update...new timing chain kit and upgraded oil pump fixed the issue. Shout out to [email protected] Performance for the work.
