Im wanting to 8.8 rear-end swap my 06 v6 but don't want to keep the v6 2 piece DS. Can the gt DS bolt up or do I need a gt one piece DS, or the v6 one piece DS? Just wanting to know my options.

The GT drive shaft is also 2 pc. And also has a carrier bearing that’s prone to failure and it weighs like 40 pounds. Plus the Gt has a different out put shaft on trans i believe. Best bet I think would be to skip the flange and order a aluminum 1 pc with the correct ends.

Are you keeping the v6, or planning a v8 swap?
The flange is the easiest way to run the 8.8.
