is anyone else on the forum running the 99-04 offset on there s197?

my buddy sold me his 4 18 inch chrome bullets off his 99 gt and i was worried the offset would kill it but they actually look really freakin aggressive, i was running 275-40's all around without rubbing in the front. i was just curious if anyone was runnin this offset?

I run bullits from an 04 GT on mine. They fit better than my factory bullits. The offset brings the wheels out to the edge of the fender. Looks so much better.

I have heard that they do not, but I think it all depends how big you go. I am almost sure they will not work with a GT500 brake set up.

Thanks... I'm really thinking I'd like to sell these 20" bullit's and drop down to 18's and some beefier meats.
but I'd also like to install the bigbrake kit so I'd need something that clears... I might have to do the gt500 (powdercoated black) wheel all around, although that is not really what I want to do...

Personally I think the Gt500 wheel is one of the most hideous wheels ever to be fitted to a vehicle. The 2010 gt500 wheels are a big improvement, they are 19s though.

Im running 18 x 9 Termiantor style wheels, 26mm offset. I love the look, it fills out the wheel wells just right with 275-40's all around. No issues at all. Sticks out past the wheel well just a tad and makes the car look really aggressive, everyone thinks that the tire hits the wheel well but ut never does, even at autocross events when the car turns at its limits.

Hey Hitman, I'm thinking of putting the same rims on my car. Do you have any pics of your car with the 99-04 bullitts? What size tire are you running? Thanks man!

No pics but just imagine the wheels being perdectly even with the fender. It looks so much better. Even my dad mentioned it looked good. And that doesn't happen very often. He hates everything. I'm running 245/45/17 on the front and 275/40/17 on the back.

My understanding is that fr500s WILL NOT fit a big brake kit. Which is a damn shame cause they look like they should. Although, americanmuscle.com says their chrome ones do. Anyone running a certain bbk with fr500s and no spacers?
