I'm wanting to get one. Any suggestions on model etc... Experiences? I've done some mods and tuning but hard to tell if they helped or hurt. Thanks

LOL, I had to look it up, never heard of one. I thought you were going to dress your car up or something.

Just go to the track. At least at the track you knock out some of the variables that you can't in the street.

Yeah a dragy is just another tool so to speak and sometimes it's the right one for the job. In Michigan the tracks are closed till spring and probably two trips to track would pay for a dragy. I just wanted to hear from those that have them but maybe they aren't that popular. thanks guys

Well I was thinking someone would chime in. I guess I will order one today.
I’ve got a dragy, and a bunch of my friends have them as well. I’ve only used mine a couple times because I spend most of my time at the track.

The dragy is really good for testing modifications and even honing driving skills. You can work on your 60’ over and over, really learn what the car wants to do.

The main issue is road conditions. You have to make sure you test back to back in the same location because every road is different and that becomes a variable.

I have had mine for over a year now. I initially bought it to get an idea of the car's performance before I took it to the track or spent more money on the car. I also worked on my 60-foot times with my street tire launches in remote locations, but I don't race on the street. I frequently go to the drag strip now (over 300 runs), but I use the Dragy there as well. There have been a few times, not many, when the track messed up and couldn't produce a time slip. I would consider it a "nice to have", but if my budget was tight, I would spend the money elsewhere.

I did get mine and had to go to utube to get directions on use. It worked great and I got some good info. Car was running great and air was awesome. I was thinking it would run 13,s no problem and it didn't. Started with a 15.00 flat, then a 14.2 at 103 and I let off at 100. I didn't run it past 6k except in first as it instantly went to limiter as tires spun and wheel hoped bad. a 2.54 and a 2.27 60ft showed I need lots of help leaving. I didn't dump the clutch but traction was nill. Great data from dragy with air density at 1170@19c. I have to change temp to f. My speedo is dead on at 100. Very happy with purchase and first use.

Can you tell us more about your car? Huge improvements can be had with sticky tires (M/T drag radials or bias ply tires) and a well prepped track surface.

Hey RCM; 07 gt manual, cai, cams, cmcv deletes, 4.10s and catless with borla,s. 180k. I need to freshen it up over winter. Tires are 245/45-18,s on heavy AM chrome mags. I think between cold surface and car running real good caused wheel hop. I like gearing and tire diameter, just need more ponies to run 110mph plus to cross at near 6k. I do have bbk long tube headers for it and want to try 91 and 93oct tune. I had a full tank of gas too but couldn't do anything for traction. I'm thinking it's a mid 13 car with very little work. ps- I ported the stock 55mm twin tb as learned on this forum. I do have a 60mm twin TB for it though.
