Not sure if this is the right area, but I finally made a breakdown video of what it takes to swap an 05-09 GT to a first gen Coyote. I go over the parts needed along with what entails in the wiring of one without using a control pack, and what it can realistically cost.

Not much of an update on doing the swap, but a little more info about the mechanical side and the car getting the swap.

FYI, the Crate_6 control pack strategy is the best performing tune I have tried to date. Unmolested, just enter trans and final drive ratio/tire size with no other changes. Its an absolute beast. The only downside is most of the emission stuff is turned off. (probably why it runs as it does lol) There are only 5 OBD monitors active by default, but the rest can be enabled.
Very nice series. One of my cars is a 2010 GT. Looks like a Coyote car, but it's a 3V. Debating on whether or not to do the swap.
From my understanding since it’s a one off year not everything translates and there’s differences that I don’t know of like I do in the 05-09. I’m sure the same concept could apply however.
The easiest way to Coyote swap a '10 GT is to trade up to an '11-'14 GT. Coyote swaps into '05-'09 GTs/V6s are popular because owners want the combination of the more classic body style and the Coyote engine. BTW, nice YouTube series Matt. I've subscribed to your channel.
The more classic body style is definitely the 10-14. It has the 65-73 "hump" in the quarter panels and the tail lights are also better, especially the 13-14. 05-09 is more retro along the lines of the PT Cruiser/Chevy HHR/DEW Thunderbird. But to each his own.
That's surprising to hear, always seen all s197's as retro but 05-09 always felt very old school and 13-14 the most modern looking. They all look good either way though. 05-09 coyote swaps are definitely gonna be the most popular though with a couple v6 to coyote swaps in 11-14 here or there.
