Hi folks,
Recently ran into some electrical issues with my V6 convertible. With almost 300K kms the brake warning light came on along with a tire pressure monitoring fault and the radio and convertible top would not work. This problem would come and go so after some searching the issue I had a look at the smart junction box in the passenger side kick panel. Found a corroded pin connector and thought I had the problem solved. Bypassed the pin connector and sure enough the problem seemed to be fixed. However, after a short while it returned. This time the dash light brake warning and tire pressure fault would appear, but then switch to brake warning light, traction control on, traction control off, and a message to have my advancetrac serviced. There was nothing wrong with the brakes or trac control. Eventually the brake warning light and the tire pressure monitor light stayed on all the time and the daytime dash lights, radio and top don't work. Any suggestions on what could be the issue would be helpful. I'm leaning toward a bad smart junction box as the problem used to go away for awhile when I was working around that.

Sure sounds like the SJB could be the problem like so many you read about here and online. Many seem to get by without a problem after cleaning all the corrosion etc. from the plugs and pins.

Update: Purchase a new Traction/Hazard light/Trunk release switch (~70bucks) and installed. This took care of Traction light issue. The other issues remained; brake warning light, TPMS light on and no Radio, Climate control or light dimmer. Brought the car to the local Ford dealer to have them diagnose the problem before I purchased anything. After some time they determined that the most probable cause was the SJB which I gave them the go ahead to purchase, install and program. Unfortunately they were unable to program at this time. Told me that this was because one or more of the wires that were part of the C210 connecter that was very corroded may have been mixed up when I bypassed the Connector by joining and solderring the wire in this connector. Had pictures of the Connector before I bypassed it and this helped somewhat when i was rechecking my work. However, i have two wires that may have been mixed up. Does anyone know or have a electrical diagram for this connector (2013 V6 convertable) I could only find one for the 2012 on the Charm site and its slightly different.

I would have said replace the SJB but sometimes you just needed to visit the rewire, so they can look into it with the reader machine. goodluck ahead!
