I'd like to put a nice system in my truck but I wouldn't know where to start as I've never done one

I like the idea of a single ten in my center console but I use it way too much to take up all the space with a sub! I am also catching myself lifting up the back seats quit often! I think a single 10 would be perfect for me now just left to decide where to install it! Hmm.. I'll wait an see how Nick's turns out! Lol

You and me both. Where will the tens go Nick? Under rear seat?

Ordered my rims and tires today and talked to Stainless Works, they should have the turbo back exhaust finished within a week and half and ready to order in three weeks or so.

Looks sick Franchi. I'm really digging the front emblem.

    Touch up paint?

    What's the tire/wheel setup?

I'll order the SW TBE from you once it's available.

Plastidipped the emblems, and then vinyl overlays on top of that for the blue part. Going with 20 inch blavk kmc sliders, with 275/55/20 nitto terra grapplers. Should look good with the two inch rear drop shackles installed.

Ill let ya know once SW releases it and it's available. I'll prob have one of their first production pieces on my truck and will take some videos for em.

Glad to see a lot of you with Ecoboost F150's! Mine is 1 month old today and I look forward to driving it everyday. My Mustang has been driven a total of 2 times since I picked it up :thumb:

Here's a quick pic I took today of it. I hope to get some better pics soon...

I think I'm one of the few that wanted cloth seats instead of leather and it was like work trying to find one at a dealer with the options I wanted without special ordering it.

You'd be surprised how much space is in the center console when you add the empty space under it. Over the winter I plan on putting a 10" sub in mine like I did with my Expedition which still had room for a 12 disc CD changer and tons of space left over. Like my Expedition, I'll likely do a fiberglass enclosure that should be easy enough to duplicate if there is interest and you can wait a few months.

Would definitely be interested! And waiting wont be an issue as I'm on a strict budget of zero dollars till the new year! (For my toys that is!) I just got a really good birthday gift from my wife around the $800 dollar range. Lol. So now it's my turn to spoil her with an awesome backyard fire pit/retreat area! Can't wait! We love fires in the backyard! Lmk what you come up with! You should document how you do it! I like watching the step by step process! Thanks for the input brotha! Have fun with your new truck!

Alright Brian, link for the vinyl emblems ASAP!

Gotta snag a couple Race Red pieces for the front and rear.

For now, I have them tinted to hide the Ford Blue, but would love this same exact setup.

Hell, the other emblems are already color matched.

I've broken my stereo install down into parts.

Stage 1 is the install of the door speakers and getting better performance out of the factory subwoofer.

Stage 2 will be installing the subs, amp, and associated parts.

    JL Audio Stage 1 Install:

    Parts:

    (4) JL Audio CL-570x speakers
    (2) Pairs of Speaker wire adapters for plug and play install
    (1) bag of Polyfill (stuffed animal guts)

    Tools:

    1/4" Ratchet
    6" Extension
    8mm socket
    6mm socket
    7/32 socket
Panel removal tools (or small flathead screwdriver)

Start off by removing the access panel behind the door release handle with a panel removal tool or an offset screwdriver which will expose an 8mm bolt holding the door handle assembly to the door shell. Remove the bolt.

Next pry up on the window switch panel, being careful to focus on the front and rear portions, as these house the clips. Under the driver's side switch panel, there are (3) harnesses to disconnect.

Now you'll want to use the pry tool to pop off the little cover on the inside of the door handle (where you place your fingers when closing the door) which exposes another 8mm bolt. Remove the bolt.

Lastly, you'll remove the (2) 6mm screws from the bottom of the door panel.

The door panel is ready to be removed. Simply pull up and then towards you to remove the panel. Be careful to disconnect the power mirror harness on the driver's side door before taking the panel all the way off. Just pull it forward a bit and reach behind to gain access. The door release assembly will easily come off by pushing on the (2) "clips" on the front most part of the assembly. Push the handle through the door, turn it sideways, and pull it out. The door panel is now free to put aside.

Now that the panel is off, you'll see where the factory speaker is mounted. Remove the (4) 7/32" screws holding the speaker in place.

Disconnect the harness at the back of the stock speaker. Place speaker aside.

Grab replacement speaker, and connect the positive and negative connectors to the female end of the wire adapters. Now you have the same harness coming off the new speakers as were on the stock installed.

Simply connect the harness, and mount the speaker back in the correct alignment using supplied hardware or reusing the factory hardware.

Test for any issues before reinstalling the door panel...

    To be continued....

    Pics to come...
