Well I ended up selling my 2010 F150 to a buddy of mine and spent a week looking for a replacement truck. I listened to you guys about the 6.4 trucks and found a 2011 F350 4x4 Crew Cab Lariat with 78k miles. Got it for about 9k under book so I was happy. Now I have to save up for an extended warranty because I definitely don't want to have to pay to have work done on that thing! Tuxedo black with Gold two tone and tan leather. Loving that 6.7 diesel! I averaged 17.8mpg, on the trip back from Iowa where I bought, it in pretty good winds.

Yeah, it seems to be a very nice motor. Guy that owned it before me was the one who ordered it and was a local farmer. Has a few scratches from normal wear and tear, not into the primer, but surface stuff. Heard the secret to keeping these going is keeping a clear fuel filter and oil change every 5000 miles. Just hope it lasts as long as my 7.3 that had 302K miles on it and was still going.

LOL, yeah I could tow out stuff no problem! Just need a trailer that fits both of our cars. Don't think my 20 footer will fit both cars in it....haha.

It really wasn't in my cards right now either, but I couldn't pass it up. Funds are going to be real tight for a while.

Wow, that is a really nice truck. What did you end up paying for it?

Trying to decide if my next truck is going to be a diesel...

It booked for $47, 600 and I got it for $38, 000. Most of the nice 6.4 trucks were close to the same price as this one so I jumped on it.

Very nice purchase! I ran across a 2011 GMC Sierra 2500 Diesel with 147,000 miles the other day at auction. Crazy how many miles people can rack up in such little time.

Pretty sure Ford recommends new fuel filters every 10k miles on the 6.7.

Oh, and do yourself a favor, ONLY USE Ford / Motorcraft filters on a Ford diesel ... I've seen so many aftermarket fuel filters cause issues when I was a Service Advisor ...

They're expensive for a good reason ... repairs on these trucks are NOT cheap!
