Ok so i bought my gf a 2013 v6 i would like to go 4.10s i had them in my 3 valve gas wasent that badd ...

With that note what am i looking at rpm wise 6th gear 80 mph .... 6th gear gearing numbers be good

Did they fix the exploding driveshaft yet lol ???

I had another question but it slipped my mined thanks for any feed back

ooof man I wouldn't touch anything over 3.73 in our V6.. hell i wouldn't touch 4.10 unless it was a drag only car. IMO you are simply adding risk for no real gain. It's not like you're going to take your car to 130+ on the streets.

I didn't know V6 had driveshaft problems, only heard about that on the 11-12 5.0's

P.S. I think you're going to lose a ton of MPG running 4.10's

you will not lose a ton of MPG 3-4 would be my guess on the highway

I had 4.10s in my auto 3 valve got better gas millage around town only dropped 2 highway i was full exhaust 4.10 airaid coldair pulleys and got about 24 -27 highway at around say 65 ... Not a fann of 3.73 s ....

And she has an auto

i'd go with the 4.10's. not sure why anyone would suggest that 4.10's are too much. it's just going to help the car get going and isn't going to kill the highway mileage that much.

what's the math equasion to figure out the gearing & tire size to get the rpms. i have a spreadsheet i pulled from online, but i'd like to know if it's done correctly.

I have a spread sheet that someone sent me years ago. PM me your email address and I can send it to you, but if you pulled from a Mustang site, it's likely the same one.

It'll be set up for the 6060 but you can alter the gear ratios as needed.

i ask mainly because what i have was showing up different than what you posted. maybe i'm using the wrong gear ratio for 6th (.62?)

yes, you are using the wrong ratio

the 6r80 has a .70 6th the MT82 .69

The 6060 has .63 AFAIK
